  1. The MLB box scores include attendance, though not until after the game ends. I doubt these re-sited games would be any different.
  2. I certainly hope someone brought a laptop or other Internet-connecting gadget to the game, to provide those of us following from home with game updates.
  3. Seeing an IGT for this game brings a smile to my face.
  4. Doug Davis breaks up Bronson Arroyo's perfect game! In the 3rd, with a walk, but still. Sharpie happens to also have 50+ pitches in his three innings of work so far tonight. Edit: Pitch count's up to 96 through 5 innings. Arizona's still hitless.
  5. I'll be surprised if this promotion is actually offered in Milwaukee - but just in case, if anyone scores a pair they're willing to trade...well, I'm first in this thread. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Send me a PM. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Edited for a grammar tweak.
  6. Looks like lcb (above a few posts) is going. And based on Opening Day, the Brewers are 1-0 in 2007 when he is in attendance. So that could bode well.

  8. Let's hang in there at 6-4 and hope for like 13 more Brewer wins. You mean in a row, or over the rest of the season? Or something in between? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. The patch could be a picture of Bernie Brewer swinging at and missing a pitch. If Bernie were wearing a number 18 jersey, I'd buy the patch. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. did the brewers win last easter? They lost April 16, 2006. 3-9 to the Mets, at Shea.
  11. We are hitting Wade Miller at Miller Park? Am I dreaming? He is a Cub now, Toby.
  12. That said, i don't know how anyone would expect to win with the lineup Ned put out there today. Exactly. It's Ned's own reverse psychology attempt. Of course, that lineup may only look successful in his mind. At the risk of placing myself on the wrong side of the ledger, I appreciate today's attempts at levity. Losses to the cubs sting more, and the extra laugh helped me today.
  13. The only two games that I've tried to predict have resulted in Brewer victories, so here's to good karma! So, lukevan, where were you Friday and Saturday? We needed you then.
  14. Ahh, brewerjamie15 smack talk. What a balm for my wounded Brewer spirit. Thanks. (Of course, if it works as intended, you're smack talkin' for the rest of the season, Jamie.) Woogie, where did you get that picture of Wade Miller? It looks like he was posing in a meeting room.
  15. In my baseball fantasies, the following would appear: "Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano is out indefinitely after an over-enthusiastic point at the sky resulted in a torn oblique." Or a strain. I'm not fussy. (Even those of us without Y chromosomes need to vent sometimes.)
  16. The best thing today...may be that our Cubs game is out of the way on our 20-pack. Also, that double play in the top of the 9th was pretty sweet (though you know, if any play from that game makes Web Gems, it's going to be the other one). Otherwise, what a sack of crap. BadgerFan had a spot-on observation: If we haven't done damage to Zambrano by the third inning, we're in big trouble. You can usually tell how his day is going to go by the first couple of innings. As soon as Hothead got the RBI, momentum swung and that was about it. I found myself mildly surprised later in the game that it was "only" 1-2...just in time for it to get worse. The hothead showboating (circle the mound, pump arm repeatedly, point at sky) got old immediately, and it was discouraging that the Brewers kept giving him reason to put on his act. I can't speak for the whole park, but our section was probably 70% cub fans. We were surrounded on three sides (yay for sitting on the aisle). The guy in front of me had a jacket whose Cub emblem (on the back, of course, so it stared me in the face all game) had to have been one foot in diameter. Tonight I don't even like looking at the letter C.
  17. Right the ship, get back on the horse, use your favorite phrase. Play well (do it for hawing!). P.S. Woogie, use a meltdown picture the next time the Brewers face Hothead. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Most of us would be out committing crimes if we didn't have the brewerfan links to keep us busy. Speak for yourself, kraft. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  19. We're going Saturday, so I should be OK for #2; and we have a game scheduled in the Pirates series (#3). Since that one is only two weeknight games, I can pick up extras if needed. The #4 and #5 series (HOU and STL) we are probably going to miss.
  20. I wasn't trying to be Funny, just letting out my built up anxiety (how sad is that) Mad Hatter, I can possibly match this. Last night (or early this morning), around 2:00 AM, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep for wondering what kind of obnoxious cub fan will be sitting in front of me Saturday. At least it wouldn't be someone I'm related to, but that too is sad.
  21. I have a cousin like that except he has a lisp, that thucks. In library school, I had a professor who pronounced "r" like Elmer Fudd would. Tragically (as tragic as library school gets, that is), I had him for reference, or rather "wefewence." Seriously. So I know some of your pain.
  22. Bruce and b19, you guys are swell. Hothead tomorrow. Hothead tomorrow. Hothead tomorrow. That's my new mantra.
  23. Someone say something to persuade me that tonight is going to be the low point of this weekend's series.
  24. I'm still very geeked about 2007. I'll join that chorus. It took me a while to get to sleep Tuesday night after returning from our first 'real' game of the season. It was just so fun to be back at the park, even though Tuesday's game was not as dominating a performance as Monday's.
  25. From the left side of the new message screen (under "Comment:"), click on "quote." You'll get a box that says "enter script to be quoted." Paste your desired script in that box and click OK. Ta da.
