  1. Your 2006 Brewers: The Young and the Wes-less. With apologies for straying off topic for a moment, this is an awesome tagline. Kudos to SeriesFinale. Carry on.
  2. Reds have 4 hits and 4HR and Dunn has gone deep twice.....yep that is the Glendon Rusch I remember Yeah, I caught those highlights last night. I hope Glendon didn't hurt his neck or torso by repeatedly whirling around to watch those balls fly.
  3. Don't base it just on the hawing party, but June 17 looks workable.
  4. I think Igor may have meant the Brewerfan.net Fan Fest - where we attend a game as a group and somehow try to top last year's outing. I don't want to rush our esteemed site staff, but the sooner there's a date in hand (or at least some candidates to narrow down), the easier it will be for us out of towners, and maybe even some in-towners, to commit. And I'm sure the hawing social calendar is less packed than those of many other members. I can taste Nicole's cake now. Mmmm, cake.
  5. Well, today's quality of play notwithstanding, I'll take a 5-1 start. At least Detroit lost slightly sooner than the Brewers did. Those retro uniforms are easy on the eyes (mine anyway). I hope they weren't the jinx today.
  6. Whoa, those retro batting helmets are so new they're shiny.
  7. You know what else was cool about that mention? (besides the Badger hockey victory displayed throughout the clip as breaking news, which I noticed too, Madbad) They didn't refer to the site as "Brewerfan.net, a fan site" or anything like that. Just 'Brewerfan.net.' Like everyone who's anyone knows about it already.
  8. The secret is to tune her out. I try to do that with my beagle as well. It's even easier to tune out Sandy Maxx by sitting in the terrace level, where the sound system has deteroriated enough so most of what she says is lost in echoes.
  9. Imagine the intimidation factor this will give the softball team! You need an iron-on patch for the jerseys: "As seen on ESPNEWS" Jamie, did you imagine anything like this when you signed on as PR mogul? They could be contacting you next. And for heaven's sake, everyone, watch the spelling and grammar. ESPN could be reading! Edit: I guess that would be "as mentioned on ESPNEWS."
  10. Let's note: 2117 members now... and see if there's a spike in the next few days. How awesome for the site.
  11. Thank you, Luis, for being a plus instead of a minus. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. Ahh, Luis Vizcaino. Why not throw like you're still a Brewer? You'd finally be helping the home team.
  13. Attendance is 29226. I too am quite antsy about Kolb. Though I admit he can't earn back my trust without getting a chance to do so; and I don't mind seeing Turnbow rest (until the extra innings, perhaps).
  14. JDLR, king of unhittable filth!
  15. Look, they've got Terry Mulholland. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  16. Sounded good for Jorge. I hope Batman either got to see it or hear it.
  17. Gabe Gross, baby! He even wipes out the Sharpie loss. I founded his fan club Tuesday night. I'm glad I did.
  18. lets see now if the bottom of our order can put some runs on the board I hope so; though there's that black-hole in the 8 spot. It's the home run inning, though! $100 for a guy from Sheboygan if a Brewer goes long. Even more if they bat around to Koskie. EDIT: I take back my bad Chad slam. For now.
  19. Perhaps a pitching change will make a difference. C'mon, Rick.
  20. It's just not looking like Sharpie's day. The DP (phew) doesn't change that.
  21. Now I know what it is to have a working rotation. Isn't that something? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif That was a surprisingly large and lively crowd for a 36-degree Friday night in April. (The next time someone wants to gripe about the MP roof not being totally waterproof, think of tonight.) It was obviously bumped up some by hockey fans, but I'd say some genuine Brewers buzz contributed, too. And That, I'll join you in the Dave Bush fan club. No games for hawing again until the 24th. How will I manage that long without the Miller Park experience? (Brewerfan, I guess.)
  22. 15430 at the park tonight. The season attendance pace has fallen from 3.6 million after Monday's game to 2.05 million now. Plenty of time, though.
  23. Marte is on the mound. Bring in Cirillo! Or maybe wait until there's a duck on the pond.
  24. Jose K pitch running? The horror, the horror. Let the man hit! So what does a Jose Hernandez "game used" bat look like?
  25. My curse on the scurvy dog Jack Wilson is finally coming to fruition. /rubs hands together/
