I suppose I'm just really naive to wonder why Cap is still in the game. EDIT: Well, that's that. A tip of the cap to Cap for a fine effort this year (even though he ran low on fuel a few starts ago).
how many of us think we'll actually come back to win this game? Think we WILL, or think we CAN? Two different things. I put my rally cap on. It worked the other night.
In a way, I hate it when Bob starts thanking everyone. Not that the Brewers/Miller Park staff don't deserve the props, but it's just another reminder that the end of the season is nigh.
I agree with Jamie. It's not so much that finishing with 81 wins would be bad (for this team), but handing over a series to the scurvy sea dogs is cringe inducing. http://www.musicobsession.com/Pictures/t/h/thelmahouston321939.jpg
Is Cap in trouble yet? Though I'm fully aware that this could just as easily have happened to Victor or Obie. (And possibly sooner.) Ah, G-Love in the bullpen. Why not?
idiots on TMJ talking Brewers and taking calls You mean TMJ was actually talking Brewers? When they could have been talking Packers, Badgers or Bucks? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif EDIT: Attempted to remove teary emoticon. Save that for the end of the game.
Yes, let's at least consider this thread for WOAH SOLVDD. I won't even insist that the "historic" component was my 1000th post. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
My bad, rluz. I did not read the gameday box carefully. But I think brettac was predicting something bigger, and I still hope Hardy is playing tomorrow, most likely putting Hall at third.
Furmaniak: How'd you like to have that name? Now that I've figured out how that is actually pronounced...whoa. The first umpteen times I thought they were talking about "The Maniac." You know, our local fan.
We need to save our bullpen for tomorow when our starter barely lasts two innings. That could pertain to the fading late-season Cappy as well as any other candidate for Sunday's start. Hate to say it, but I think it's so. On another pitching note, thanks to Tomo Ohka for his work this season. (Maybe not so much in the last 10 minutes, but overall.)
Sigh, do I have to be here for *anything* to get going? Hey, Rickie, make something good happen. I mean it. EDIT: Well, the poxy bilge rats are turning to their scurvy bullpen. That can't be all bad. OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Nice lyrics work, JET15. Thanks for posting with me through the down innings this week. EDIT: Just saw Brian's pic. I guess Doug M. grew the 'stache back *just in time*.
Don't stop believing! Hold on to that FEE-LI-I-I-NG! (Where's mothership to feel the love for Journey?!) Brian, love your kool-aid graphic! I can't stop using exclamation points!
