  1. Now that I see that a .500 May is actually still within reach...I really want it. (Not that I wouldn't take a .500+ May.) If one month ago, on April 28, you'd known that Ben and Tomo were about to go down, what would you have predicted for May? (not to minimize JJ's loss, but the challenge this month has obviously been pitching) Go Brewers. Do it for gregmag, and for the rest of us in absentia!
  2. 4-1 Brewers. Sweet. Makes you wonder how many runs (total) will be scored tonight.
  3. Uecker just cited Dave Bush as Saturday's starter.
  4. That was lucky for the visitors. It's too bad that much relief was needed after a very nice performance by Starter Cappy. But at least it wasn't entirely in vain.
  5. At this point, pretty much any pitching change sounds like "out of the frying pan into the fire."
  6. Our (s)house, in the middle of the mound.
  7. So who pitches next for Milwaukee? regardless of the score?
  8. I'd love to join you guys, but I'm running a marathon Sunday morning and I need to 'save' myself. Enjoy the sunny (hot) weather, I know I'll do my best to cope with it. Yeah, Jimbo, I don't wish I were running a marathon on Sunday given the forecast. (Not that I'd be any good at it in more ideal conditions.) Good luck.
  9. Yay! Game over and a W for Sharpie.
  10. Hawing, nice thought, but it won't fit. The above subject line fits while preserving the entertainment value.
  11. Well, Brewerjamie's profile page indicates that his age is 132. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Also, I think you should edit the subject line to read: 5/25/06 Bay Street Pub (Pitcher Dude) at Brewerfan.net (Brewer Fever)
  12. This Brewer pitching staff is just battered to snot. Well said, Jamie (if not appetizingly said). Did anyone else get the feeling at times tonight that it was Junior single handedly taking it to the Crew? Honestly, when Ueck said on the radio that he robbed Jenkins of that deep hit and then "went down", I was half hoping he was hurt. (For the sake of the Brewers, not because I'm that kind of ill wisher.) Let's just get through May.
  13. I can't decide who I'm more sick of seeing, Junior or Brandon.
  14. Sorry, I don't know how to do all the nice intro stuff. No worry, edod. I haven't done it either the last two retro Sundays and the Brewers won both games. Imagine my potential guilt level had they lost them both... Check out the Gameday pictures for Bush and Arroyo. They're both long-necked. It's the giraffe matchup! (If only they could match Ks tonight.)
  15. Well, I made a bare bones post to start last Sunday's IGT and the Brewers won four in a row. Probably coincidence; but how much worse can it get than last night? Boof vs. Cappy. I hope that by the end of the afternoon, my rhetorical question above has no specific answer. My first retro Sunday and I am hoping to be 5-1 on games viewed in person once it ends.
  16. From the first page of this thread: Tonight's game has 10-8 written all over it. Hopefully we have 10. You were half right, I guess. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp What a hapless mound performance. I'm not sure I have the heart to consult the boxscore. They can't look at this and justify keeping BenHen. Can they?
  17. Burglefickle. Well, tomorrow's another day. Featuring BenHen, but still, another day.
  18. Lets get the Twins tomorrow and Sunday. Yeah, Sunday will be the day for the major league boofing of Boof. (I hope.)
  19. Why is Sharpie coming out only now? Even I, the Sharpie fan, can't figure that out.

    Game 1 recap

Dude #1 Dude #2 So, apparently your opponent was the Club Carnival Dudes. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. So, 0-1 to start the young season. You'll battle back, no doubt grittily. Glad it was fun, and I'm sorry I couldn't stay in Milwaukee another 6-7 hours to witness it myself.
  22. Got to give the guy some love for starting the rally. I even fished my Chad Moeller charity pin (the one that doesn't acknowledge him at all but reads 21) out of my baseball bag at the start of yesterday's game and put it on. No, Chad, thank YOU.
  23. Isn't this technically "Season Opener, Take Two"? (and of course another must-win situation) Have fun and represent the site well.
  24. Shouse gets Blown Save Really? But that tieing run was TBow's run. I wondered the same thing. I assume because Shouse inherited the runner, he got the BS?
