AND finally the Reds turn to their bullpen. I know the rest of you have packed it in one way or another, but I'm closing in on 1000 posts. (Though I may only get there tonight if the Brewers actually come back.) 14 hits, 4 runs. I wince.
I've had it with the bad Italian accents on the Klements ads. What I hate are the faux-Italian bakers who are celebrating upon realizing that the microwavable brats will bankroll them 365 days a year. The woman tosses a loaf or something into the air to hug the man, and whatever she tosses NEVER COMES BACK DOWN. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif I suppose this is off-topic but this has pretty nearly become the JET15/hawing thread anyway.
Well, look at it this way, JET15: by not having the radio on, you missed the "Patio Daddio" jingle. The thought of no patio daddio for several months eases the pain of the looming off season. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
On one hand: OK, if there's going to be a night you throw in the towel and send someone bad in for mop-up innings, I guess this is it, and Victor would be the bad guy. On the other hand, I kind of vowed to not watch him again. I think I'll be hitting the showers pretty soon. I also wonder how Rooter fits into this kid lineup. Is it all that promise he has as a MLB player, except no one but Ned sees it?
Great, so now we have to listen to a sock conversation. Is this something that should make me glad I'm listening to Jim and Bob instead of some other media option?
That struggling noise you hear is me trying to think of something positive to say. ...It's not Santos on the mound? ...Wasn't it the Reds that the Brewers had that insane comeback against last spring? Eveland's warming up, so never mind. Maybe 80 on Thursday, guys.
i saw the thread updated but i couldnt open it until that stupid game ended... Same here. Pogo and I reversed the bad karma and saved the day. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Wouldn't it be nice if, someday, we looked back on this night and laughed, because by "someday" the notion of celebrating a .503 winning percentage on September 27 is charmingly naive and quaint? Yes. Yes, it would. Don't look back, now, Brewers.
If Jamie can repeat his smack talk, I can repeat mine: The Brewers couldn't find 81 with a multiplication table. Go home team. Make the umpteenth time the charm.
Presenting, my first avatar ... That's great, ja002h. I heard "I'm a Believer" played in the ballpark after the game. So, the brewerfan "Drive to 81 (or 82, depending on your degree of optimism)" soundtrack must include: Dream On I'm a Believer Eye of the Tiger Don't Stop Believing What am I missing?
Whoooooooo-hooooooooooooo! You know how after a kid gets lost and then found, the parents simultaneously want to hug and kiss him *and* slap him 'longside the head? That's how I feel about the Brewers right now. But since I got to change my tagline, I'll forgive them. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
I miss these long game threads.......they making following the game a lot more entertaining. I'll miss these threads during the off-season, that's for sure. Although I WON'T miss this specific type of extreme seesaw affair. I'm getting whiplash.
Ned, you could have put out the hook a bit sooner. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif This is not increasing my faith in Dana Eveland. But I can accept the possibility of fatigue.
