    you can just feel the tension and the love on this board for this team I know what you mean. Although I would rather have a less dramatic game right this minute, in a week (or month) or two, I'll miss being able to do this. Derrick, how 'bout an UN-dramatic 9th? Dude, where's your save?

    I have no idea what I'll be like if they ever get to the playoffs. I know exactly how I'll be: really nervous and perpetually on the verge of tears. If the Brewers are in the playoffs, you all will know me by my bawling like a baby.

    Actually, I think this is my K post. I was hoping to be able to use it on something more worthy. However, the bases ARE loaded with no outs. Listen up, Brewers. Or I would be had Brian not made the understandable move to greater equality.

    Nice day to be at a ballgame! G-Love has my deep appreciation for his work these last two starts. I wish I could say that Bernie Brewer kept pace with the K signs on his "dugout" railing, but he was two behind for most of the day. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif I've always generally preferred a pitchers' duel to a slugfest, so I wasn't disappointed today. And now they're at 80 / .503. And the Brewers were 13-10 in games attended by hawing (14-10 if you count the exhibition game) in 2005. Thanks, guys. To paraphrase someone else's tagline: Losing seasons are the disease. Could Sharpie be the cure? I'm SO ready for Friday night.

    Here's hoping for another respectable outing for G-Love. He did it when I asked on Saturday (and I'm asking much more nicely now than when I was muttering under my breath last weekend). Brewers, don't leave us like you did last night. Hope to see some of you there.

    Yeah, it stings extra to outhit the opponent, yet get *blown out* scorewise. It was about a month ago that I stated my little dream of the Brewers clinching 81 wins on September 29. It sucks to come this close and miss the mark. But they are at .500 on September 28. Compared to my memories of 2004, 2002, and other bad seasons back to 1984 (the first really bad season after I started following the Crew), I'll still take this. And I think I'll save my millennial post for Thursday, preferably after their next win. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif G'night, everybody.

    Hats off to Wes. I'm still reading (now it's 7 posts to 1000!) and I don't think you need to feel shame. It's OK to realize that Big Wes has found a reasonably useful niche (if a fairly expensive one). This could be Miller Park Nostalgia night for several of the fellas. Big Wes. Little Wes. Rooter. Vampire. This is not to say I'm hoping for a parade of all of these guys on Thursday.
