  1. I mean, they're not necessarily wrong. Lopez is a strong offensive post player and the Nets don't have anyone to neutralize him at all. On top of that, they're rolling Mike James onto him, and Lopez just hangs out near the 3P line, waiting for a pop and shoot opportunity. The first 4 games of this series have proven that if anything, points in the paint are pretty much there for the taking against BKN, and we're not adjusting to it.
  2. Griffin would be 20% more efficient overall if he'd spend less time flopping/pretending to be hurt by incidental contact, and looking at refs and asking for fouls.
  3. Harden wanted *no* part of stopping Giannis coming through the lane.
  4. I can see putting Harden on the floor for a few minutes to get his legs under him, but he can't guard anyone (less so than he normally does) and he isn't in sync with the rest of the offense at all. He's killing the Nets, and I love it.
  5. Jeez with these flops....
  6. Need to stop running Point Giannis. Running him with the ball at the top of the circle is not effective offense.
  7. Giannis wanted to take that soooo bad.
  8. He's more of a liability out there right now. Which is fine.
  9. I agree that "rule changes" mid-season aren't the best idea. That being said, this is just a rule that they've decided to actually enforce now that people aren't just using rosin and spit, but they're using advanced adhesives to not just help them grip the ball, but to put ridiculous spin and movement on the ball. The other thing is, Glasnow says a lot of hitters have no problem with pitchers using rosin and sunscreen, but in the middle of a game, I do wonder how many of these substances are similar in tack and appearance. It shouldn't be up to an umpire to decide if something is benign (sunscreen) or not. If you're putting something on the ball, the rules are what they are. It's possible if the union comes forward strongly enough, they'll find a decent middle ground. Maybe that happens. We'll see, I guess.
  10. Atlanta is going to give philly everything they can handle.
  11. I'm not going to blame game one and two on the refs but the bucks couldn't even breathe on Durant. The bucks won't be able to win if they can't play defense. That being said, Tucker played amazing defense on Durant the last two games. He still got his points, but he really really had to work for them. As others have said, if the Nets are just durant and a bunch of guys, the bucks have to play their game and win this series.
  12. The nets got the 2 seed with their mega trio only playing 6 games together so clearly, even with only 2 mega stars they were a pretty good team.
  13. That block and transition dunk was a nice exclamation point on this game.
  14. Madbums response to that fracas was awesome.
  15. He gave up a couple home runs to Bryce Harper in the playoffs. 3 years later the next time he faced Harper, he drilled him with a fastball. He's one of those big red-assed babies who can't stand to be shown up, and will hurl objects at dangerous speeds at people if his feelings are hurt. I've seen more than a few articles about the guy not being a good clubhouse dude.
  16. JBJ has a .500 ops and makes a lot of money, so everything he does or doesn't do is magnified a lot.
  17. Vogelbach messed up his footwork and left himself out of position to make a play on the throw. It still probably pulls him off the bag but he's gotta catch it
  18. Anyone on this forum could have stood there. After years of watching weeks Braun and others swing at sliders way way out of the zone, I'm not 100 percent sure of that.
  19. 2 games. Same suspension ray rice got!
  20. I don't know how I Feel about this team going into game 4. They won the game. They have a chance to tie this thing up, at home. BUt man, they need a game plan. They need some scoring from someone other than Giannis and MIddleton. New Jersey is a BAD defensive team and we have gone three games in a row, simply unable to put the ball in the hoop. Gotta come out game 4 ready to play.
  21. 54 points in 3 quarters. Yuck
