  1. That ball shouldn't be at the half yard line, it should be nosed right up to the goal line. Nitpicky, but yeah.
  2. WHy run inside when you only have one timeout, and you have a few chances to take a shot at the end zone?
  3. James White didn't return the opening kickoff in that game, stupid. It was David Gilreath.
  4. playing soft zone on that drive and it looked soft.
  5. If they can hold the to a FG attempt, I'll be ecstatic.
  6. Ok. WOuld have liked to hve the ball where they were supposed to punt, but we'll take that!
  7. They're playing a team that hasn't lost in over 2 years, and is 30 point favorites.
  8. Clemson is (predictably) mauling Virginia.
  9. What a beauty of a play. I did't know Coan had the ball until he was at the 7 or so
  10. Not a big fan of the reverse to the short side.
  11. Fields looks like he can run ok, but his side to side mobility and quick cut ability really isn't there
  12. Looked like he made it, but worth a look, eh?
  13. Wow. Cephus needs to have better field awareness than that. Throw was right where it was supposed to be.
  14. The jet fake made at least 3 defenders bite, and sometimes that's all you need. Just running that play 4-5 times a game the last few weeks, even if it's not super successful has set that up now.
  15. Somehow have to figure out a way to slow down Chase Young a little bit. I know that's asking a lot. It's a monumental task. But I hope that's been the bulk of their game plan this week. Somehow slow him down a step.
  16. I'm not going to discount the possibility of passing Clemson, but they are nearly 30 point favorites over Virginia. Them losing and us winning has to be the longest of long shots. And I'm still not sure they committee takes 2 loss Wisconsin over 1-loss, defending Nat'l champ Clemson, unless Virginia blows Clemson's doors off.
  17. Yeah, I feel like the whole "three pointers bad" thing is more of an aesthetical thing. The Bucks don't let teams score inside, and they're one of the best teams in the league at not putting opposing shooters on the line. It is what it is. People can like a certain style of basketball, but the numbers absolutely don't lie... the Bucks play extremely solid defense.
  18. That's what's really the crapper about the Illinois game. The Badgers are "good enough" about 1 out of 5 years to be serious challengers to get into the CFP, and this was one of those years. Unfortunately, the Buckeyes are out of this world good this year. Point being, we had a chance. And to lay an egg in Illinois just really sucks. We'd be playing to get into the CFP tonight if not for that game in Illinois. We'd still be saying "we'll probably lose to Ohio State", but at least we wouldn't be relying on a series of probably 4 or 5 wildly improbable upsets needing to happen as well. I'll be perfectly happy with the Rose Bowl or a NY6 bowl, don't get me wrong, and this season has still been fun (stomping Minnesota, beating the heck out of Michigan).... I measure success differently than some people ...... but this season definitely has a "coulda been" feel to it.
