  1. He may have a beef, but he's yelling at the wrong guy, and he knows it. He's just making a spectacle of himself at this point, and he knows that too.
  2. So......you can't challenge a call after the 6th inning, but you can 'ask the umpires to take a look at it'.......in essence still challenging a call. Makes sense......
  3. I wonder if he's still standing down on 1B flexing his hand....
  4. RAMI!!! Pretty lucky he didn't get rung up on the previous pitch.....
  5. Gennett actually looked bewildered by that first pitch from Thatcher.
  6. That's what I was thinking. Also, it's a tie game. Does he honestly think he's going to be hitting you on purpose in this situation? Get over it.
  7. That sounded like it may have stung a little bit. Prado, you need to stop with that 'come at me bro' stare. You aren't scary.
  8. Boy, I know Reynolds isn't fast at all, but unhook the trailer and get your butt down the line son.
  9. Wily really settled in and threw a solid game after a rocky first 2 innings.
  10. there's nobody out. Don't have to run until you know if it's going to fall. If that ball falls, you score even if you're standing on 2nd. This team sucks at baserunning.
  11. I'd blame this more on Melvin for having a utility infielder being your only backup outfielder on your 25 man roster.
  12. I am not a big fan of Herrera, but at least he brings some (very marginal) ability to get on base, which Bianchi did not.
  13. The only thing really down is his power numbers. The problem is he's owed 22 million for the next 2 years. (total, not per year, obviously)
  14. After watching the Heat get rolled by the Spurs in devastating fashion, is it still a "Superstars only" league? Granted the Spurs have Tim Duncan, but he's 7 years past his prime, and certainly not anything close to what you'd call a superstar anymore. Getting a real head coach is going to be the most important thing this new ownership group does this off-season.
  15. I saw a 3 game set at the Jack in '87. Good times. RIP Tony. Kids....... for crying out loud. Don't chew.
  16. He had a 900-ish OPS through the first 2 months of the season, and has had a pretty bad first two weeks of June. May want to give it some time before you jump off the ship. I'm not "jumping off the ship" but you can't watch him and then look at the rest of his contract and not be concerned. It'd be one thing if he had a good eye and was just hitting into tough luck but he's looked like crap while swinging at a bunch of crap. Even GREAT players have bad stretches. If Braun hadn't hit well for the first few months of the year, I'd be concerned. He's hitting poorly right now, and he's pressing. He'll get through it.

  18. Keep in mind Blyblevnerener set the record of giving up 50 while throwing 271 (IIRC) innings. Marco is on pace to throw less than 200 innings.
