  1. They should keep a bamboo cane in the dugout. Every time Geoff swings at a curveball in the dirt, Wynegar gets to crack him with it 10 times.
  2. I consulted Bills OPTIMISM GENERATOR and came up with this line for li'l Ben: 5 IP, 6 hits, 2 walks, 3 ER, 4 K's. and a win for the Brewers, 7-4. No way our bullpen pulls another job like they did last night. (Adams, Burba, I'm looking at you!)
  3. I'm getting in on this one early. I jokingly predicted 6 runs off of Clemens, and we got 5 off of the rocket, and 7 for the game. I think the offensive roll continues, and the Crew snaps their streak of getting dominated by mediocre pitchers. At least........that's what I'm hoping.
  4. I think anytime you get shutout 2 nights in a row, on the heels of a 4 game losing streak, there's going to be some warranted doom and gloom. In all honesty, had they lost this one, it wouldn't have been nearly as depressing as the last few nights, just because we scored some runs. But hey, they won, all is right in the world (for another day!) and we're still clinging to .500.
  5. NICE JOB KOLBY! We win. We stay in 4th place We stay above .500.
  6. Well Fike, looks like you're ok there, eh?
  7. Oh..................and Helms still sucks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  8. Whether we got them there by luck or however, you gotta bring at least one of them in.
  9. Wow, I don't care if a strikezone is bigger/smaller, as long as it's consistent, but this guy has been ALL OVER THE PLACE tonight, for both teams. That 0-1 slider was in the exact same spot as Cappy's pitch to Lamb that was called a ball. I hate harping on the umps, but this guy is terrible. 2nd and 3rd with no one out, and we don't score. Sick.
  10. Whiffed on 2 pitches RIGHT down the pipe. C'mon Jenks, pick us up.
  11. just fired up my home-brewed OPTIMISM GENERATOR and it gave me this: Bill, I hope you took a minute to look at my last post on last nights game thread concerning the discussion we had, and your optimism vs. my negativity. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. Whatever works I guess! I'm revising my prediction to 8 runs now! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  13. Well, it's still tied, and we're scoring some runs. I want this one pretty bad. Geoff Jenkins, will you hit a homerun for me!?!?!?!?!
  14. yuck. Looks like we're making a very solid effort to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory tonight.
  15. And I'm gonna take GLEEFUL joy in this statement.... 3 homers and 2 doubles, and, voila! RUNS! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  16. .....just not today. Well, a 2 run lead gives us a little breathing room
  17. Come on Moeller, CLUTCH UP! Let's tack on a few more.
  18. Did anyone else see Beltran about throw himself right out of his shoes? CLUTCH!!!!!!!!!!! Nice job Lyle, even if it was just a bloop. Looks like a liner in the box score.
  19. I agree to an extent berniah. Too often the bullpen model is followed to a T. However, in this case, with the Astros offense, I'm sure there's going to be more instances yet in this game where clutch pitching is going to be needed. Burba's the guy I'd have gone with there, given the opportunity to make that choice.
  20. BURBA TIME! Hey, we still have the lead, and our 7th-8th-9th inning relievers.......I have confidence in.
  21. Hey Biggio what time is it? That's right, it's Burba time!
  22. Ball 2 to Lamb had 3 inches of the )*&^)*! plate if not more. I'm one of the last guys to ***** about the umps, but that was as close to right down the middle a pitch can be and it was called a ball.
  23. Aargh. Pull the plug. Burba's ready to go. Looks like Cappy is grooving them over the plate to avoid walks now.
  24. How's about a groundball here and call it an inning, eh?
