  1. WHAT THE WHY IS DURRINGTON HITTING WITH GRIEVE AND KIESCH ON THE BENCH?!?! Yost's man-crush on Durrington has now reached disturbing levels.
  2. Yost trying to manage the Dodgers to a win tonight? How many outs does he want to just give away? Running with Ginter? Oh, and Bennet sucks.
  3. 2 TOUGH K's by Burba to work out of a jam. GET SOME RUNS NOW!!!!!!! Getting to Gagne in the 9th is a non-option, so we better get them quick.
  4. Not only that, but that ball was SCALDED. I can't believe he didn't end up on 3rd there. Burba better buckle down here.
  5. with the weak tapper on the first pitch. Give the guy a few days off for the love of pete. I know Ned's a guy who likes to "let em fight through it", but this is silly.
  6. He definately showed off his power in that one. Too bad for the K though.
  7. Bill, I've mentioned it before about Schroeder and Sutton, and I'll say it again. They DO NOT THINK about what they're saying before it comes out of their mouths. They say things, at least once a game, that as you say, are complete UNTRUTHS. They might be ok to listen to, but the constant barrage of false statements make it hard for me to take them even semi-seriously. Like Sutton's comment a few weeks ago: "Keith Ginter is VERY hard to strike out" Hehe, yeah right.
  8. Horrible? Try pathetic. That last swing was *()&^@#$% Ridiculous.
  9. Kinney is up in the pen. We are saved. Bennet is looking like a A ball non-prospect this inning.
  10. I agree about Hall, JB. He's 3rd on the team in RBI, despite having fewer than half as many at bats as the regulars. He's producing, whether it's with or without walks. It'd be NICE if he took more walks, but it's not HURTING his game, so I'm not gonna worry too much about it.
  11. Especially when the mound is Foggy. Should be getting to this guy.
  12. It is confirmed than that the Pirates will not be skipping Fogg because of the rainout? Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere.
  13. Still seems strange that they'd cancel this early. That's the same storm that blew through here in less than an hour. It very well could be that they don't want people IN the stadium when it comes through.
  14. ESPN gamecast is showing that the game is cancelled, and will be made up as part of a doubleheader in july. sports.espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard
  15. Much better outing for Capuano this time around.
  16. 9 K's and no walks in 7.1 for Eveland. Very nice. 1-5 that lineup is looking really good, after that, there's a serious dropoff (just like last year) 4-3, nice win for the Snappers.
  17. Indy down 3-2 in the 8th. Edit: Indy tacks on 2 in the bottom of the 8th, taking a 4-3 lead into the 9th inning. Columbus scores 1 in the top of the 9th, now bottom of the 10th, tied 4-4. 4-4 still, in the 12th inning.
  18. Keith Ginter Month AB's OPS Apr. 49.......557 May. 43......760 June. 43.....828 Jly. 59.......859 Aug. 82......812 Sep. 81......788 I don't know, but there's 3 months where he played regularly, and his OPS was .788 or higher in all 3 months. Yes, his BA went down, but his OBP and SLG% both went up. I don't see any correlation in those numbers between playing time and performance, other than his rather poor first month.
  19. If we're going to use "consistency" as the hallmark for deciding who starts and who doesn't, by all means, Geoff Jenkins should be riding the pine then. The guy is average for 2 months at a time, then gets hot for 2 weeks, the is pretty pedestrian again for a month or 2, then has another torrid 2 week stretch. Bench his butt immediately, and wait til he gets HOT to put him in the lineup!
  20. With a lot of people paying attention to the rest of the teams in the division on a nightly basis, I think this is a good idea as well. Even though there isn't much of a "race" at this point, there's still plenty of people who want to talk on a nightly basis about what's going on with the Cards, Cubs, Astros, etc., as well as other MLB stuff.
  21. Overbay and Jenks account for 37% of the team's extra base hits at this point, and that's with Jenks hitting only 4 homers so far. Seriously lacking in some PUNCH besides that pair, and games like tonight are the result.
  22. Tough loss. WAAAAAAAAAAAY Too many stranded runners. Should'a, would'a, could'a.
  23. NEED SOME RUNSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! Peavey, no prob, rough day here, probably being a TAD touchy!
  24. Nice 1-2-3 for Adams. 2 runs on 11 hits in 7 innings? During the same day we're talking about how good the Brewers' OPS is with runners on, no less.
