    No, I was up in the GA, right in front of Brian, only for a little while though. My wife had a cold going into the day, and we ended up leaving after the 5th inning. Anyhow, Lend, I'll let you know when I'll be going again, so at the very least I can say hi, even if you don't want the brewskie just yet. I haven't been able to get to as many games as I'd like this year, as things keep popping up, but that SHOULD change soon, hopefully.

    Let me add, once again, that it was cold! Didn't get to meet as many as I'd have liked, but between looking for cover from the rain and having to leave early..... Lend D, you have to let me know when you're going, so one of these days I can settle up on my debt.

    In case Brian somehow forgot to mention it...it was COLD at Beloit today. I've been to a good handful of Snapper games this year so far, and let me tell ya....Lou Palmisano hits the ball hard, every time he makes contact. Vinny Rottino with a BOMB today! Guess there's a few guys who can hit the ball out of the infield after all?!?! Montalbo looked good, like Brian said, but he fell apart in the 5th. Of course, the bottom of the 4th was almost 45 minutes, so he very well could have stiffened up before he took the mound again.

    Greg, absolutely no need to apologize! I very well may have pimped Davis somewhere this spring after his performance in AZ, but like you, I certainly don't think he's anything special.

    Well, I don't think it would hurt to keep him around until Capuano is ready to go (assuming Caps isn't hurt TOO seriously) If we needed a long term starter in Caps place, I don't think it'd be wise for Saenz to fill that role. I was thinking more SHORT TERM when I thought of keeping him on the big league club.

    The imemdiate retaliation is important. It's also childish. Get your payback by scoring the guy, not throwing a fastball at a human beings head.

    Clancy, that's all fine, and I agree, but I don't understand your venom for the guy when he throws a gem. I mean, you're a Brewers fan, right? FYI, last year Kinney had 12 quality starts in 32 tries, Franklin had 13 in 34 tries. This year, Kinney is 2 out of 4. If nothing else, I think he's earned a stay of execution for now. Give the guy credit where it is due at the very least. He knew it was on the line tonight, and he delivered. Heck, go back and read my posts over the last week. I've been calling to get Kinney out of the rotation as much as anyone else. I don't let my personal like and dislike of players cloud judgement calls on things like that.

    I gotta say, I've liked the guy since he got brought up last year. I never understood why he was so maligned by so many. He fills a role, albeit a small one, and tonight was a perfect example of it.

    Kinney dodged a bullet there. I say, take him out, pat him on the back, and hand it over to the pen. Don't leave him out there UNTIL he falls apart.

    Oh, I agree Greg, I was only saying that when he's played, he hasn't made the most of his opportunities, and when you're a young part timer like Hall, you need to capitalize on those chances.
