  1. Also against it. People seemed generally happy with length of game this year, and pace of play. There were what, a handful, if not more, games clocking at or under two hours? There's no need to push games back to the era of one-hour game times. While pace of play was a problem, I think people also enjoy an afternoon or evening at the ballpark, and want to feel like they're getting their money's worth for their entertainment dollar. There comes a point where striving for enough can become too much. Tinker tinker tinker tinker and you lose the whole meaning of why you were tugging on the thread to begin with.
  2. I mean.... if you're going to play 7 yards deep in the end zone, that's the result I'd expect.
  3. 1st and 20. 1st and 15. This defense is just gross and bad.
  4. Christian Watson is pointless in an offense that lacks a QB able to get him the ball deep.
  5. it's not enough to suck, we have to accrue a bunch of injuries as well.
  6. Haha, I know. Some of those things are in semi-conflict with each other, but that's how I feel about it. I can't watch an individual game and openly root against the team to win. I Know academically that losing is better for them for a variety of reasons, but I can't. If they were to lose, I'd be disappointed in the moment, but know that it's ultimately a net plus for the team.
  7. I don't know how anyone can evaluate what's been going on with this team the last few years and come away with anything close to something like "Yup, Joe's doing a fine job", win or lose. I just don't.
  8. I can't *root* for the Pack to lose, but I am rooting for as high a draft pick as possible. I want to see the young players (somehow) grow as players and get better, and somehow, still get a top 5-7 draft pick.
  9. Fun, creative, and new ways to shoot themselves in the dick.
  10. Almost 2 minutes on the clock and 2 timeouts, and they can't even get close enough for a high percentage field goal attempt.
  11. where it's at. What it means. When to cross it. Etc, etc, etc.
  12. This team can't get out of its own way. They can't execute simple crap like lining up to the LOS.
  13. Yet another underthrown deep ball.
  14. With Yelich, Taylor, Frelick, Mitchell, and hopefully Wiemer figures his swing out this off-season, it's fine to spin Canha for something. I think we (often) get super attached really quickly to guys who perform for short periods at high levels, and while Canha's certainly not bad, and his OBP has been nothing if not consistent, I'm fine with them moving on.
  15. This thing needs to be blown up from the very top down. We're the Bengals when the Bengals were the Bengals.
  16. Right? I'm yelling "show the play, not the frickin coach"
  17. Hits the QB up around the head/face, they're gonna call that. Sucks, but it's gonna get called.
  18. Because the offense is brutally incapable of taking shots more than 4 yards downfield at a time.
  19. I know the answer, but why is it so easy for opposing QB's to find the soft spots in the Barry Zone? It's pathetically entertaining at this point.
  20. Welp. Barring a 3 and out, that's about it. Defense really came to play today, can't be upset about that. Offense just continues to be devoid of any imagination at all, and it doesn't help that they're down to scraps at RB.
  21. It was fun while it lasted.
