  1. Unbelievable. Can't win. Yost makes the right move and the player doesn't come thru.
  2. Hey, 3 feet or 385 feet, it's still an out if they catch it. Finish this one boys.
  3. I've got it listed on mine up in Wausau on channel 669 at 9:00pm Humm, still not on mine. Tomorrow is thou. Strange. Edit: We're good now.
  4. I'm not seeing the game listed on my DirecTV guide yet. Anyone else? Time Warner people do you have it listed?
  5. Well I'm going to burn all the files to a DVD. All? Not the programs folder thou, right? Like casey said, before transferring your old files back to your newly formatted drive, make doubly sure that they're not infected with anything. I'm having problems with Outlook Express and the servers and stuff. What do you mean exactly? I wouldn't worry too much about Outlook stuff. I would just export the address book, save any emails you want saved, then be done with Outlook. Run with Thunderbird when you start up fresh. You should be able to make a quick call to your internet service provider to get the server info, if you don't have the original setup disk or booklet anymore.
  6. I've always thought of re-formatting my laptop. Is there any special benefits to doing this regularly, especially if you're not having any real problems? If your computer is stable, still running as fast as it was when it was new, you don't have a lot of worthless programs on there, and you've still got plenty of space...then no there is no real benefit. At least I don't think so. My desktop still runs fine with Windows XP, I haven't re-done anything since I put this one together. It's been probably at least three years now, I think, maybe longer. Course I'm very cautious about what I install on this thing.
  7. Yeah, even with a good throw, I don't think they get him. But that kind of makes it even worse. Since the runner is already safe, 1B has to come off the bag to make sure that ball doesn't get by him and the runner doesn't end up at second. They just got lucky the ball didn't go into the dugout. I'll stop there.
  8. Yes, that wasn't a very good throw by Rickie at all, but com'on Prince, that's an easy pick. You gotta catch that ball.
  9. You would be able to get at least face value for them. I hope to get the full playoff ticket package, even thou I can only afford one game per series. The rest I will sell to family first, then friends, then here at BF.net. I really don't think I or anyone will have a problem finding BREWER fans who will take them.
  10. He'll watch Baseball Tonight, but not for any one team. Usually just to see how his AAA friends did in their games.
  11. Ironically, there was an article out on one of the news sites (don't remember which) about the beer-google effect being proven true. Migosh, they needed to do a study on this? AND, someone actually got PAID to do that study. I would like to do a study on how many hours of playing video games it takes to develop a callus on my thumb. Another one that I think would be cool, is how many hours I can spend on my couch, only getting up to go to the bathroom. I would of course need some kind of assistant to bring me food. Anyone care to make a donation? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. I didn't read the entire thread, but you know what bothers me... People who want the basketball team to loose, just because they don't like the NBA and think they are all "thugs". I don't like the NBA either, and I don't watch it. I like the college game. But, that is still "USA" across their chests. Have some pride in your country.
  13. Buy some DVDs and copy all your files that you want to keep over to that. You would of course need a DVD burner. Otherwise have to get a bunch of CDs and save your files on those.
  14. Ummm, I believe the Crew has the most wins (50) in the Majors since May 20. (Angels are second with 49, then Tampa Bay 47, Cubs 46.) So...what...all 50 of those wins have come against "weak" competition. Please. I would tell you what I think Ken Rosenthal can do with his "article", but then I'd be banned from this site. EDIT: I'm not able to read the article here at work for some reason. Just going by the title.
  15. I also like to make two partitions on my main drive. So my C: drive is nothing but my Windows OS and other programs. Then my D: drive and so on, holds the stuff I want to keep.
  16. That's what I do now. I had one hard drive several years ago. It crashed and I lost everything. Never again. Now I have two drives and copy everything to the second drive every-so-often.
  17. "Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food. I can drive a taxi. I can, and do, cut my own hair. I did, however, tip my urologist. Because, I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones." - Dwight Schrute I'm sorry, but I had to, it was too easy. I usually tip 10% to 20% I guess. Depends upon the level of service and how nice the person is.
  18. iTunes...500 songs fitting on 3 CDs sounds about right. Outlook Express...you can save the address book similar to the way you'll save the favorites out of Firefox. Dig around in the options. Once you're done, I'd have them switch to Thunderbird. You will need to look thru every file/folder on the hard drive, because you will loose everything. So any excel files, word docs, pdf's, pictures, videos, emails, anything you want to keep, besides programs that you can just download or reinstall with the disk, needs to be saved either on a disk or a second hard drive. If that turns out to be a lot, you might want to think about getting some DVD disks to put your stuff on, (if you don't have a second hard drive of course). Be careful, double check to make sure you have everything saved somewhere, that you want to keep, before reformatting the hard drive.
  19. That said, I'm not sure I get the point of the video. Ballplayers skipping lines at clubs shouldn't be news. Probably just because it's LA. Isn't everything magnified out there?
  20. You know after this he's doing the Cubs-Reds series at Wrigley. I'd like to go see him, but man, don't like driving in Chicago and of course there are those "fans" I'd have to deal with.
  21. He's not even a Brewer fan, although a lot our family lives all over Wisconsin. He grew up and still lives in Kansas. He was a Royals fan growing up. Not sure if he even follows one team anymore. Doesn't really have time to.
  22. He's starting out at second base tonight. So, first base tomorrow, then he gets the dish on Sunday. He's been up in the majors since that Cardinals series.
  23. It ain't over yet. Doesn't this team still have the most wins in baseball in their last AB? Com'on Crew!!! Course it would help if Gagne wouldn't give up any runs here.
