Yeah! Com'on Torres! That runner stays at second. -
Damn. Well, here we go. Torres, to take Game One.
-
COOORRRRRREEEEEEE!! COOORRRRRREEEEEEE!! COOORRRRRREEEEEEE!! Let's go kid, give us a couple of insurance runs here.
-
There was no reason for hall to tag. If Ankiel catches it there are two outs and he's already at second. He should've been halfway to third and he would've scored on that play. Yeah, I suppose. But it looked like he was going to catch it, and if you're at third, maybe you get lucky with a wild pitch. I don't know, it's a tough call, you could go either way.

If they win this thing 3-2, I'm gonna...I don't know...something.
-
Bill Hall needed to score on that drive by Kendall. He assumed the catch on a tough play. I don't know. That was a tough call for Hall. Ankiel has one of the best arms in the league and it wasn't hit too deep. He should be able to tag on that play with Ankiel running towards the wall, so you want to stay close. If he gets too far off, there is a possibility of a DP if he catches it. From his angle, he probably couldn't see it hit him in the heal of the glove and bounce off. Then since it wasn't hit too deep, with Ankiel's arm, there's a chance he gets thrown out at home. Kind of a "caught in no-man's land" situation there. Plus Hall isn't the exactly one of the best baserunners on the team.

Estrada Wow. Sooo glad I forgot about him. No wonder why I couldn't remember. LOL!!
-
Add: Seth freakin' McClung continues to pitch well. Things are lookin' up guys (and gals), things are lookin' up!!
-
Question: Who was the last switch hitter the Brewers had on their team?
-
Good to see Billy go 2-4 this game. Man, if he could get hot. Get a little bit of the 2006 Bill Hall back for the 2nd half.
-
Gotta like that Yost at least had someone up in the pen that inning. Nice job Gagne. Still would like so see one or two more runs on the board for the good guys thou.
-
I have a good feeling about Gagne here. Imagine if they can get thru these two innings with Mota and Gagne? That would stick it the Cards. We just got you out with our two worst relievers. TAKE THAT!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
-
Actually Mota did just face the bottom half of the order. I wonder if Yost would have brought him in if Pujols was due to hit that inning. You let him face the 5th batter, he got him out, okay let's try one more...
-
Whew... Sounds like I can turn the TV and radio back on.
-
Maybe he's sending a message to Melvin right now... "GET ME ANOTHER RELIEVER! QUICK!!! Or I'm going to have to keep putting this Mota guy out there." Is the inning over yet? I turned everything off. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
-
Mota's in. All right, I can't watch this half inning. Time to step outside for a smoke. Maybe a few of them.
-
I much more often than not, give Yost the benefit of the doubt, because we don't know what's actually going on in the dugout. But if he brings Mota into this game, I cannot find any reason what-so-ever to justify that. If even one batter gets on base, Mota had better be pulled, that's all I'm going to say.
-
OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mota is up in the pen. OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
McClung going 5 and giving up 2...I will take that. What is his pitch count at? Just under 90 pitches. He is just about done. I'd say if they get to his spot in the order this inning he is PH for.
-
Nice job Seth buddy. Tack on a couple more runs offense.
-
i bet we dont see mota tonight If you find anyone to take that bet, count me in.
-
Get Bush up right now.
-
Rickie hits and gets on base when it counts. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

RICKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my cousin, Todd Tichenor, has been called up from AAA to ump the Brewers - Cardinals series this week. He's been up quite a few times over the past couple of years, so he's not really a "rookie". He'll be at 3B tonight, probably 2B tomorrow, 1B Wednesday, and behind the plate for Sheeter on Thursday. Let me know what you think, especially on Thursday, that of course will be his big day. Hopefully you won't notice him at all, which means he did a good job. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Thanks.
