  1. For my party, they hired me a stripper, and a good one at that. Money well spent as far I was concerned. I wouldn't have a bachelor party any other way. Sorry, I just don't think it's a true bachelor party without a nice looking woman taking her clothes off for you.
  2. Braun with a good showing. One other thing... I don't like the cubs and I don't like Piniella, but that water commercial was pretty good.
  3. For those couple of you that recently graduated from Carroll...do they still have J-term? If so, do they still show "A Clockwork Orange" and "Young Frankenstein"?
  4. I went there for two years right out of high school. This would be from 1989 to 1991. So I probably wouldn't be much help with how it is today. It was pretty nice when I went there thou. I liked that it was small and everything was pretty much contained within those few blocks. But they had a complete hatred for fraternities at that school and eventually shut mine down. But, we did have the rep of being the "Animal House" type of fraternity. It got to be too expensive for me, so I transferred to UWM.
  5. I've always been an APBA fan. I know there are several leagues out there for their Baseball for Windows computer game and still some that use the original board game. APBA Website APBA Message Board
  6. CC to win it for CC against CoCo. Couldn't cbe cet cup cany cbetter.
  7. Get CC a damn run and the win here offense. Enough messing around. Let's go!!!
  8. Com'on rest of the offense now. If that doesn't get you fired up, nothing will.
  9. Plus Hall kills the Reds. Forgot about that one.
  10. No Branyan! Come on Ned. Hall has had some good ABs with some hard hit balls vs righties lately. Plus Branyan has cooled off as of late.
  11. Wow, you mean the Brewers are still playing? I would have thought the entire state was going to shut down so we all could stay home and watch the Favre coverage.
  12. I agree. It's time to get rid of some of these guys and bring up my cousin, who is umping down in AAA. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif It's tough thou, the only way he can is if someone quits or retires. That could be the problem with umpiring. They know they will always have a job no matter what.
  13. The Monday July 28 game should be Sabathia/Zambrano, if the Cubs start out the second half with Zambrano. (fixed code --1992)
  14. ewizabeff, it continues to amaze me that you don't have guys banging on your door proposing marriage. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. Standing room only left for tonight. Glad I got my tickets for this one in February. Time to leave work now and head on down to the park. GO CCREW!!!!!
  16. Can someone explain to me how people come to Miller Park and then must stop either 1) at the "doorway" to the section or 2) at the top of the stairs and then all 4 of them look at each other and realize they have no idea where their seat is? There are 4 adults and you have tickets in your hands - basically a ROADMAP of where you need to go - and not one of you can figure it out?! I don't know how many times I've helped direct people to their seats. "Do you work here or something?" No, I've just been to the park more than a few times. (And I'm not a moron. But I don't say that part.)
  17. Forgot about the rain makeup game, the original schedule did have it as a three game set. I see. I didn't even know that was a rain make up. I understand you want Sheets and Sabathia to go as often as possible, but wouldn't it be better to split them up to help the bullpen? Well Yost has already announced Sabathia and Sheets will start those first two games of the second half, so that's what I went with, and I'm assuming LUKE did the same.
  18. I whipped up a rotation yesterday as well just for the hell of it. What "LUKE" has is about what I've got, except I only went Sabathia, Sheets, then 3, 4, 5. Also, "LUKE" you have an off day between the SF and StL series. I believe that day is actually the start of the series at St.Louis, it's a four-game set. Sabathia should get 15 starts in the second half. Sheets should get 14. In order to get them both 15 starts in the 2nd half, they would have to pitch them both once, on only three days rest. This also takes into account skipping a start for one of the 3, 4, 5, starters a few times on the off days. The 3 slot would be skipped twice, and the 4 and 5 would each be skipped once. So when they need to skip a Parra start eventually, put him in the 3 slot. In my rotation, Sabathia pitches the last game of the year against the cubs.
  19. I hate the sausage race. I usually try to pick that time to hit the bathrooms, they are much less crowded at that time. Maybe I'm just getting old, maybe it's just because our 20-game pack is in the field level bleachers, but I'm also getting sick of the people who come into the game drunk, then proceed to get up every other inning to go get yet another beer that they don't need anyway. Then call you not real Brewer fans because you're trying to watch the game instead of doing that stupid wave, or standing up yelling "you suck" at the opposing team's RF. Also I'm sick of people coming and going during AB's. Especially at key moments in the game. Hey drunk idiot!! Did you come to watch the game at all?!?!? Or did you just come to be loud, drink overpriced beer, and drool over the trailer trash bimbo with the big chest. The Crew is down one run, Braun is at second, they just walked Prince, and Corey is coming to the plate!! Watch the damn game!! However I do still like to listen to Uke. Yes, he's got his shortcomings these days, but he's still not down to what Harry Caray was towards the end. And I do think the Brewers are going to the playoffs this year. I still think they may win the division, but I am usually overly optimistic about the Crew. Thank you Pedro for starting this thread. Feels good to get some of this off my chest. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. Too much positivity around these parts. Not really. It's usually just my ultra positive thinking. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Lets hope they get off on the right foot. Hoping for 3 of 4 this series. Would love a sweep. Heck, I don't expect them to loose a game up to the break now. 7-0 baby!!!
  22. Just for fun I threw together a pitching rotation for the 2nd half. If they start out with Sabathia then Sheets, for those first two games at San Fran... "The Big 2" will pitch the last two games at St. Louis (July 23, 24), AND the first two games of the Chicago series (July 28, 29). For even more fun... In order to get them both 15 starts in the 2nd half, they would have to pitch them both once on only three days rest. This part also takes into account skipping a start for one of the 3, 4, 5, starters a few of times on the off days. In my rotation, Sabathia pitches the last game of the year against the cubs.
