  1. Didn't someone post today something about how Corey hasn't been stealing bases lately? Where did he go? Keep those statements coming buddy. I've got one. Man, Braun hasn't been hitting very many home runs lately.
  2. We had a leadoff walk yesterday too. Let's hope today goes better. 2-run HR. How's that for ya? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. You could easily say that Football is all that Wisconsinites really care about, I don't know if that's all they care about. Just listening to some of them, I would say that's all they have an understanding for. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Yes, but maybe I should have said I'm surprised Fukudome isn't running away with it. Since I would have thought the entire nation of Japan would be voting for him. Anyway, I just threw 50 votes Braun, Hart, and Hardy's way. Sorry Prince, but Berkmann deserves it more this year.
  5. I'm actually surprised that Braun is even close. I would think the entire nation of Japan besides all the cubs fans would be voting for Fukudome.
  6. Awe Braunie, what are you doing man. That pitch was never a strike.
  7. Did Yost just say what I thought he did? LOL.
  8. No base hit in the inning yet. Com'on Weeks buddy, how about that first hit right here.
  9. I was thinking that. Pull back Kapler and throw 3TO up there.
  10. The screams are not as bad the second night as they are the first. Yeah, it's really not. The key is to just not let them see it. Take it away, and put it away somewhere.
  11. Whew! Glad I'm not the only one. I wasn't in full agreement with taking it away from my daughter before she was one year old. But I have to give credit to her mother, she had to suffer thru those first few difficult nights, but after that, all was good.
  12. I guess I should have read the entire thread first. That's great!! Now I would watch out so he doesn't discover his thumb can do the same thing as his pacifier used to do. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Agreed. Her mother took it away from our daughter before she was 1-year old. (She's almost 2 now.) It was a rough few days, but they get over it. And her blankie never leaves her bed unless she's really sick, then I let her have it. But it has to stay on the couch, I just don't want her dragging it around on the floor. Dad lives alone, so he doesn't always clean his floors when he should. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif It's not a mess by any means, but hardwood floors can get dusty very quickly. My sister on the other hand, her daughter is almost one year older than mine. She still lets her have the "nuk" and carry around that dirty filthy blanket every where she goes. Don't get me started on the chocolate milk and the candy. But that's a different story. Besides what they say about the teeth movement, I believe taking away the "nuk" early helps them develop quicker, both with their independence and speech. Maybe it doesn't, but my daughter is already more of a "big girl" than my sister's daughter. EDIT: We've always called it a "pacifier", but it really doesn't matter.
  14. Everyone knows you can't have too many relief pitchers. If you're a Brewer fan, you have to root for the guy to turn it around, and be an effective option out of the pen.
  15. My guess is it's someone we haven't heard of yet or someone who is not in the Brewers organization right now. Or they have a couple of good catching prospects right now. If they don't trade any of them, maybe they move one of those guys to 1B. They are going to give Gamel every chance to be a 3B. I've heard the same thing as "piccione88". A few weeks ago Powell was talking to a Hunstville beat reporter and they were talking about Gamel. But if he can't smooth out the problems, he'll probably be the one. LaPorta should stay in the OF, with Braun and Corey. Unless he is a Carlos Lee-type OF, but I don't believe anyone has ever said that about him.
  16. No game today, so here are a couple of my favorites some of you may not have heard of... Rushmore - Great music, like the story and characters, a Wes Anderson (Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums) movie. Run Lola Run - German movie, love the concept.
  17. I did this once before and it worked... This game is about to be tied up right here.
  18. I've heard Melvin say that AA League they are in is a very good pitching League. Better than what they would face in AAA right now. So they are going to give them a full year at AA to rip up on that good pitching. Plus I think they want to do with that AA group of players what they did with the young guys currently with the big club. Try to keep them all together thru their Minor League careers.
  19. Please, please, please...no Torres today. Keep the man fresh. I'd rather see anyone else in the ninth today, even in a one run game. The guy could use a 2-day rest and we need him healthy. Yes, that sure would be nice. Hopefully they don't have to. I think this would be a HUGE win for the Crew today thou. Sweep on the road, something they haven't done in four years. So if they need him for one or two outs, then I think you have to use him. But let's hope for a blowout, so even a few regulars can take a couple of innings off.
  20. I like the lineup. Course with how well the team is playing, their overall team confidence has to be thru the Miller Park roof. I think they could throw anyone out there and expect to win right now. GO CREW!! FINISH THEM!!!
  21. Is it me or do the Braves OFers play really shallow?
  22. Maybe he's like Sheets. Needs a couple of innings to get it going.
  23. Well I'm always optimistic about their chances, but I probably wouldn't go by what I say. I should point out when it comes to the Crew, I'm neither a glass full nor a glass empty kind of guy. I prefer to think I have a continuous tap. So, my glass is always full right up to the top. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. 5-1 in these last 6 games. That's 19-7, if my math is correct. All I predicted was 4.5 games out, a 19-7 record might just do that. This season ain't over 'till the fat lady...wait...change that....This season ain't over 'till Prince eats a burger. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif GO CREW!!!
