  1. So, let's say he runs hard, pulls a hammy, and is out for a month. No, I'm sorry, still doesn't bother me that he didn't run hard to first on that play. Again, the issue for me is still the pitch he offered at. It was inside and would have been ball two. The count was only 1-0 for cripes sakes, should have been 2-0. Take a pitch in that situation and wait for something you can at least hit a fly ball into the outfield. You're supposed to be a professional hitter, do your job. I didn't get a good look at the movement of the pitch, but it ended up on his hands, again. And it was only Stormy Weathers, he doesn't have that great of movement on his pitches does he? He did the same thing in one of those San Fran games, except that time he actually did hit the ball with his hands. EDIT: I was looking at the wrong inning in the game log. The count was 0-1. But still, the pitch was inside, and I can't imagine Weathers having that good of movement on his pitches.
  2. The less than full out run to first last night on that 3-2-3 double play ball, didn't really bother me that much. Because if you watch the play again, the catcher sat there with the ball for what seemed like forever. Had Estrada been running full out, and we all know that's not very fast anyway, the catcher would have just thrown it earlier and he still would have been out. Now I suppose you could say, well maybe he makes the catcher hurry his throw and he throws it wild, but the chances of that are very small. I was more ticked off at Estrada for the pitch he offered at.
  3. Terrible. They deserve to loose this one now. And Estrada deserves a beat down from the rest of the team.
  4. Did you hear that on the radio? "Sometimes you have to tip your cap." Tip your cap at what exactly, Powell??
  5. Error!! Make that one hurt. It's only "Stormy" Weathers.
  6. Prince. Get one and take it outtta' here.
  7. Woahhhhhhhh... Close, but it's still an out. Just one run boys com'on!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Com'on Cappy, nothing hurt there, nothing hurt, just get this guy now, baby.
  9. I know I'm getting in here a bit late, but we don't know about Weeks. Maybe Yost didn't want him to face this guy, or maybe the wrist was bothering him a little today. I think we'll see Weeks sit at least once a week, maybe twice a week sometimes, from here on out. I'm fine with Counsell or Graffy filling in at second.
  10. Good to see Cappy pitching well tonight. Let's get him some runs here boys!!!
  11. I don't think it's short term memory. With a normal hitting Weeks, most of us think the team is better with him at leadoff, and Hart somewhere in a run producing spot because of his power. We are hoping, for the sake of the team, that he can stay there and get the job done. At least I am.
  12. The fact I don't like is the Cubs finish the year with the Reds. While the Crew finish it with the Padres. The Brewers are at home and the Cubs on the road, but I still don't like it if the race goes right down to the wire.
  13. I agree with "Nader Raider Tim". That's the lineup I use in my MLB07: The Show season. Sometimes I flip Hart and Hardy. But basically I stick to that lineup.
  14. Top of the 8th. Giants still down by a run. Let's go Giants!!!
  15. You know about Wise... He does not throw that hard. So 53 pitches for him is a lot different than 53 pitches for a guy like Turnbow.
  16. Won't matter. There is no way in he-ll they let him hit that HR anywhere but San Fran. And especially not in Milwaukee of all places.
  17. ESPN, pfffff. I'm convinced they are all rooting for the Cubs.
  18. Wise is going to finish this one? What does that say about Parra?
  19. Braun needs a hit here. He's all the way down to .337.
  20. What was that about this being a "give up" lineup today? I think we should start calling every lineup that for awhile. So do we get to see Parra today? If we don't, I'm thinking that means he's going to be sent back down very soon. EDIT: Didn't read those couple of posts above. I would be pretty shocked if they traded Parra. I don't really believe the Dunn rumors anyway.
  21. So, is this enough runs for the pen to not screw Gallardo out of a win, after another great outing. The kid deserves this win!!!
  22. Com'on Gross!!! One time baby, one time!!!
  23. Yeah, I'm having problems with Gameday as well.
