  1. Does anyone with CABLE know if this game will be on that Game Trax deal tonight?
  2. One strike away, throws a mistake right over the middle of the plate. Damn I'm not ready to give up yet thou. They can come right back and score 3 here.
  3. Well there you go. MENCHED!!! He made up for it.
  4. Com'on, the guy basically tripped over his own two feet. Should have been an error. Yes he was to blame for those two runs. 'Course Ned should have known Mench would have foot problems tonight, so it's really on him. Do I think it's going to matter in the end? No. I still think our Crew win this one.
  5. I don't know the years, but just by looking at pictures of the before and after...Bonds, Giambi, McGwire, Sosa...you can tell that something ain't right there. People don't change that much from one year to the next.
  6. Has it been mentioned that he has made some plays in the field lately that I believe no one else on the team could have. Well outside of Hardy that is. Yeah, his bat has stunk, but he's at least making up for some if it with his glove.
  7. Didn't read any other posts tonight, I have to get back but... Why weren't the outfield windows closed for the 9th? If they are, I say Braun ends the game. What do you think?
  8. Hey, come back and get'em tomorrow behind Sheeter.
  9. Man I sure hope tonight was a fluke and CV doesn't go into the tank in the 2nd half.
  10. Hunter who? What Pence? Ryan Braun baby!!!
  11. Well, I pitched with Cappy last night on MLB07: The Show. He threw 7.1 shutout innings for me. He was all over the place, but made the pitches when he needed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Maybe it will carry over.
  12. Start giving the starters a rest on Monday thru Wednesday to even this out. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Welcome!! Looks like Menotti80 is your best bet. Enjoy your stay! I have to ask, thinking back of how our club was 8 years ago, what made you convert to the Crew? I mean our team stunk back then. LOL.
  14. Actually I'm positive the game always meant something to at least 90% of the players. We all know most of these guys have huge egos. Winning the All-Star game, means bragging rights for whichever League wins it. You don't think it bothers alot of those NL players that they haven't won in what, 10 or 11 years now? Why does it have to mean anything else?
  15. I don't like what it counts for, but I never liked that home field advantage in the WS alternated between Leagues either. Best record should get you home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Just like in all of our other major sports. You play 162 games. You end up with the best record in baseball, and if you make the WS, you might be on the road for 4 of the 7 games. That's B.S. I don't know, I'd be a little ticked off. I really don't care if either team wins the All-Star game. It's an exhibition. A tie is fine by me. Have them play 9 innings, get everyone in the game, and be done with it. I don't see why it has to "count" for anything.
  16. Oh well... At least it was a good game.
  17. Why wouldn't you put in Pujols now?
  18. At least he didn't make the last out.
  19. Now com'on JJ!!!!! Tie this thing up!!!
  20. "Here it is, the first time I will ever cheer for Soriano" I was thinking the same thing. First time I'm cheering or a stinkin' sCrub.
  21. That's what I was just thinking. Did Hardy hurt himself getting dressed tonight or what. Put in J.J.!!!!!
  22. ...or Kerry Wood II ...or Mark Prior II ...or Cal Eldred II ...or any of the Marlins pitchers who are hurting this year. Completely agree. As has been said to death, there is a proven track record for young pitchers who get used too much early in their career. Yo-Yo is going to be in the rotation in September when it REALLY counts. The Brewers are doing the smart thing by gradually increasing his innings year-by-year. Next year he'll probably be in the 4th starter slot, then in 2009 and beyond, he'll be # 1 or # 2. P.S. Sorry for continuing to take this thread in the wrong direction.
  23. It's not over yet here boys. How about one of those explosive 7 run innings. Let's go!!!
