  1. Ugh... Jeff... we needed that grounder to find a hole... EDIT: Another walk for Brady...
  2. Dunno... but I think we don't have luck on our side today.
  3. DHonks A lot of the guys are driving it. Hard to get it over the fence when the wind's blowing in at 11 miles an hour...
  4. Yeah... our guys are getting good wood on the ball. The fact it's going right at fielders isn't Butch Wynegar's fault or anyone's fault. This inning... it's just a matter of stuff evening out. Maybe next week, the hard-hit balls go over the fence or off it for extra bases.
  5. Well, he grounds out... Still, the wind's blowing in about 11 MPH. There are about a half-dozen balls that have gone to about the warning track or beyond. The Crew just missed at least three homers, I think. They're hitting the ball hard. It's just getting caught.
  6. Magruder just got a run-scoring play of some sort (Gameday...) We're back in this game, I think... EDIT: Two-run double, and to third on an error. Not bad.
  7. Well, they've drawn two walks so far in the 7th...
  8. Perez seems to be falling behind... He's onyl got two strikeouts, and Gameday reveals at least two balls were close to the fence (homers taken away?). EDIT: DANG!!! Of all the folks to whiff... Lyle?
  9. Double by Spivey... now, let's open the floodgates!!!
  10. Ugh... Is what I think is happening really happening? It can't get that bad, can it? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. Yeah, I like Rottino's bat. That said, if he can get to mediocre defense, I'll take his RBI bat there. Catchers who can provide the level of offense Rottino could are pretty rare. That said, if he's still having trouble, third base beckons. I would like to see Vanden Berg getting more at-bats, though (DH, maybe?). I think he's going to be a good catcher, too. Palimasno and Salome are getting the hype, but Vandy's just been solid offensively so far, and he seems to have learned how to draw walks. He's got that Wisconsin connection, too.
  12. don1481 Well, it's another one of those days. Redman and Suppan seem to have our numbers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  13. Too many "failed to finish" DPs. And to be honest, Moeller and Hardy are just a pair of black holes in the lineup. It's gotta be time to get Sheets used to Miller.
  14. Yuck. Maybe the offense can get some runs soon...
  15. Brady Clark is really a #2 hitter - he's just miscast as a leadoff hitter. I miss Podsednik.
  16. UGH. Gopher ball. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  17. Ben seems to be having a little location trouble... but the Cards ain't hitting a thing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. And the Crew had three runs taken away from them on Tuesday. It was, I think, a good series. A little unlucky in the second game, but other than that, the Crew's holding up fine. The Crew's only been out of one of the games this year (the Zambrano-Sheets matchup). Not pennant-winners, but a 10-15 game improvement is not out of the question, I think. Even today, Cappy was able to keep the Crew in the game. The bullpen is stepping up (minus one performance out of FIVE appearances by Phelps). Even then, I think Phelps rebounded nicely after that Cubs game. I consider Turnbow to be the biggest question mark out of the pen, and even then, he was somewhat unlucky in one appearance (Brady Clark misplays Burnitz's drive to center for a triple). Cappy's kept the Crew in a pair of games, and Glover and Santos appear to be usable until Capellan and Hendrickson are ready. Just a little bad luck from a 7-1 record, in my opinion.
  19. Darn. Well, let's get Miller to knock a couple in...
  20. Stay calm, Geoff... Damian Miller... let's REALLY run it up.
  21. DOUBLE!!! 4-2 CREW!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
