  1. Is it just me, or is Rickie getting plunked a lot? At least four times already. Either Rickie was hanging out too much with Keith Ginter this spring training (Keith was plunked 17 times in ONLY 358 ABs last year), or the Huntsville pitchers need to protect the Huntsville hitters better. Good grief, whatever happened to the good ol' chin music?
  2. MassBrew I'd give DLR a mulligan for this one. The delay couldn't have helped.
  3. Looking over this Reds series, I think something's happened. I think that the corner's been turned in a sense. This club got a confidence boost. Furthermore, I think that Doug Melvin should tell Cashman to "forget it" if the Yankees inquire about Sheets. In fact, if Sheets is truly a #1 starter, sign him to a multi-year deal. A long one. Five years, minimum.
  4. That is one heck of a comeback. I couldn't imagine the Crew doing this under Davey or Jerry. This is where Ned Yost has made a big difference. 12-10.
  5. Plenty of young pitchers in the farm system.
  6. MassBrew Think it's time to send over a few other tapes (Brad Nelson and Jason Belcher are candidates for that)?
  7. I wouldn;'t blame Ginter for stocking up on a few voodoo dolls... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. I think Seanz is NOT going to make demoting him easy.
  9. Keep Saenz up. When Capuano comes back, see who is doing the worst. Then send them down if Sanez keep pitching like this. Can't send a guy down if he keeps dominating.
  10. Good for Mike Jones. The imemdiate retaliation is important. Don't let opponents think they can jam our guys without payback.
  11. RoCoBrewfan I agree for the most part. While Capuano is on the DL, see if Kinney can put it together enough so he can bring in something of value over the offseason. But I'm not optimistic. If he can keep the focus, he might turn out okay. But that is the big question.
  12. RoCoBrewfan Kinney's track record from 2003 hasn't impressed me much. If he can put it together, I'll be happy for him. But he still hasn't shown that he is any better than Jamey Wright and Jimmy Haynes were. Wright and Haynes occasionally had good starts, but more often than not... Well, you know the scoop on that front.
  13. I'll admit, Kinney is doing okay - so far. But he'll stink the next few starts. You can't RELY on him to have a good start every time.
  14. My Kinney Line Prediction 5 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 5 BB, 4 K, 2 HR
  15. MassBrew I think Kremblas is going to be asking if anyone can spare a pitcher... or two.
  16. Even with a DP, I can't see sending him out against Clark, Bennett, and Ginter.
  17. He's working out just fine, IMO. Let him settle in, he'll be okay.
  18. UGH... the bats disappeared after the 9th...
  19. Hope this is the start of a groove for Adrian. Now, let's get this game WON. EDIT: One thing I like about this game: Podsendik and Counsell got on base a combined SEVEN times. Five of those were walks.
  20. Yeah, but what good does that do for the bullpen?
  21. Ginter K. Podsednik... take this guy deep. EDIT: ARRGH!!!
