  1. It would be really cool if I could get some perfectly placed wind to come along and blow all of my leaves to the curb. This would save me a few hours of raking today.
  2. Just reading about Christmas music (ouch, my ears) makes me sick about the season. Yep, I'm a scrooge. If not for my daughter and the joy she gets this time of year, I would completely hate Christmas. Bah humbug. (Sorry to bring the mood down for those of you who enjoy all things Christmas.)
  3. I think it depends on the brand. Much like jeans and other clothes, I tend to think that every brand runs slightly different from others no matter what the size. Most of my shoes are size 13, but I also have a few 14s.
  4. Valpo, I seem to recall your posts regarding your musical tastes...stay away from Triple M. For that matter, stay away from all Madison radio. Triple M seems to be more of a hippie rock thing with a mix of new and old. It's audience would likely come from the Willy St. area and drink at the Crystal Corner.
  5. Someone said Chipotle had free burritos...I'm gonna be mad if that was true.
  6. sbrylski--you in Madison? If you are, they often post incident reports on their website. http://www.cityofmadison....rts/incidentList.cfm?a=71 Funny, I remember when we had a thread about "your top ten visited websites" and the MPD was on mine.
  7. I'm just a dumb metalhead, but this O.A.R. band is considered a big deal? I read somewhere that they've played Madison Square Garden....really? They're of no interest to me (I just checked a few of their songs), but good job by the promoters if these guys are as big of a thing as people are saying. Edit-For those bored tonight, they have streaming video available at Channel3000.com. http://www.channel3000.com/freakfest/index.html
  8. Well, the alternate Madison party has been canceled by the student organizer. I'm sure threats of hefty fines may have played a decision in calling the event off. On a side note, I wonder what the status of State St. will be tonight, the night before the organized event.
  9. Let's wait until Sunday and see what happens. Sure, Freakfest charges around $10 and offers entertainment, but now a student who deemed the city's party "too sterile" is promoting a Halloween block party on Mifflin Street. Seems like the kind of place a few idiots might try to cause some trouble.
  10. My daughter has a Disney princess harp that randomly "strums itself" at random hours.
  11. Coliseum was the best. Two words=beer garden. That's where the atmosphere came from. The Kohl is a beautiful facility but it's so sterile and tame. The whole atmosphere is a complete opposite of the Coliseum.
  12. More importantly, even the guys who weren't considered studs performed at a high level....guys like Melanson, Daubenspeck and Bruckler. Not studs, but among the all-time statistical leaders in the program.
  13. I'm really concerned about the future of goaltending at UW. Now that (goalie coach) Bill Howard is gone, I don't know what to expect from the future in goal, but so far it's not good.
  14. Tough 5-4 loss tonight, especially giving up 2 shorties.
  15. ...but it works great. Even better, mine was free.
  16. I guess I wouldn't mind a DVD voucher either if someone has one to give away.
  17. A visual to help get an idea of what this thing is: http://135.mojohd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/remington-shortcut-540x360.jpg The trimmer blade is between those plastic teeth, which are on both sides.
  18. Yep, I set all of my clippers at the shortest setting and this seemed to cut it a little shorter than usual. My hair looks like Curly's from the Three Stooges after my recent trim.
  19. I'm pretty sure it's one of those "viral video" deals where it's straight to youtube, no television planned.
  20. So MLB gets to sell them instead of us? I'm guessing some are provided for players, families and sponsors.
  21. JSOnline had listed the way tickets were allotted and stated MLB gets 10,000 per game.
  22. My Eagles play the Redskins at noon on Sunday and I couldn't give a _________ how that game goes as long as the Brewers win. I can check the football score during commercials or when the game is over. Football season starts for me when the Brewers are done and tomorrow is no different, and it should be the same for you guys...Packers should win tomorrow easily, this is a no-brainer as to which game you all should be watching. Screw watching the Packers.
  23. Ha! My sister works for Rayovac and they distribute the "Shortcut" by Remington. She got me one a few weeks ago and it works great! I've cut my own hair for years and that thing is awesome.
  24. Thanks for posting the link. I deleted it, but now I'm sitting on the ticketing page with an offer....
  25. Anyone want to post the link? I've got the password, but I deleted the email by accident.
