It still surprises me that more port-a-potty's are not provided in the parking lots. The general lot off of Bluemound has what, about 10 scattered about the lot? Would it really be that hard to bring in a bank of 20 or so? Maybe they enjoy watching people climb the hill...
The real issue with obstructed view is so people think they are behind a support beam when in fact, it may be as simple as a hand rail from the steps in front of them. I sat in "obstructed view" of the front row terrace last year and had a mere blockage of my vision down the RF line. My buddy picked up these same tickets today in row 9 of the terrace which is actually the 2nd or 3rd row and they are only called that because of the railing.
They actually send a rejection email? I haven't got one of those, nor have I gotten a congratulatory email. I keep checking for something, but nothing's arrived.
Do you know where I can get Gehl's nacho cheese in Madison? I couldn't find it at Woodmans. I can confirm that we carry it at Woodman's in Menomonee Falls. It's on a cardboard display next to the cheap (Pajeda's) tortilla chips.
The Pettit's built the Bradley Center with the intention of drawing an NHL team to Milwaukee. Excerpts from a Milwaukee Magazine article in 2001: "Jane Bradley Pettit had spent $90 million on the Bradley Center, giving Milwaukee a state-of-the-art sports facility named after her adopted father...Now Pettit was contemplating spending $50 million in 1993 to buy a professional hockey team... Given the way the NHL provided players for new teams, it would be five years before the city could hope to have a winning team. Pettit worried that Milwaukeeans wouldn’t back such a team...In the end, she withdrew her NHL application, leaving league officials fit to be tied but moved enough by her explanation that future teams got better draft picks."
I like the helmet Ilya Bryzgalov (#45) who has (I'm assuming) pictures drawn by his child on both sides of his helmet. I think that's a nice touch, and it's definitely different from the others.
The hockey guys will appreciate this article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/1101/nhl-goalie-masks-by-team-2010-11/content.1.html It shows all of the goalie masks for the 2010-11 season. There are some awesome masks...and then there is #2, Jonas Hiller.
Cook it in a pan with some caramelized onions and you've got a great thing going on. Don't use red onions though, those are better eaten raw on a sandwich.
My daughter (age 9) also enjoys the Wheel of Fortune game, however the ultimate time consumer since Christmas has been Wii Party. It's a bunch of addicting mini-games that are played in an effort to win a theme game. Honestly, I didn't get it, but it's constantly being played. I just got done getting whooped, but she sure had fun beating me. A great family game.
I do. Been playing for about 10 years. Unfortunately, I usually have to do a random public league. Let me say this, I always lead the league in PIMs, but it does not hurt me. I get my PIMs from mid-range scorers like Steve Downie and Alex Burrows. A side question for trwi7 who I know is an Admirals fan...are there any real good promotions/cheap ticket deals for the Admirals? Now that I live here again, I want to take my daughter to some games. I may be mistaken, but it seemed like ticket prices were kind of high when I looked on the website...maybe I misread.
I can do without the ballads, but I still love the hair metal. Homer, once upon a time you had the hair band avatar, right? Crazy that I seem to remember this.
My modem was never upgraded by Charter over the 8+ years I had their service. Then again, I never had any issues with it. I should have just bought one and saved the 5 bucks/month. Funny, I went to Time Warner when I moved and got the exact same modem, only a brand new one.
I recently moved away from Madison and had no issues at all with Charter's customer service. Not only did I get right through on the phone, I received competent and quick service. To top it all off, I just received a check in the mail for overpayment of my bill. That was a nice surprise. The real issue with Charter is if you don't bundle, you're getting ripped off because cable internet on it's own will run you $50-60/month. If you bundle everything, it's less that $100. I was a DirecTV guy, so I got ripped on Charter's internet cost, but I had no issues with the service and internet speed. Diskono, I loved having ESPN3 and miss it now.
On average, about $4. Quite often they have a $1 off coupon stuck on the box. I usually buy the Kingsford BBQ bag (you light the whole bag) and that costs about $3, so the cost is similar.
Canadian teams are always fun to watch because of their passionate fans creating a great atmosphere. I love watching the Saturday night Canadian team match-ups each week.
