  1. I only believe in the Opening Day schedule magnet curse.
  2. Are any of you watching the coverage on DirecTV? I don't usually watch a lot of golf, but I was interested in checking this coverage out. They have a Masters Mix channel which is a screen split in 4, an Amen Corner channel where you only see the players on that hole and ******* 15&16 channel. As far as I can tell, it's free. If you have DirecTV, check out channel 701.
  3. That was a very entertaining finish indeed, luke.
  4. You forgot the jalapenos!
  5. I was in the car yesterday afternoon listening to the first game of the DH, and the announcers said they had $1 hot dogs all day for the DH. Don't know if they had any ticket promotions, but looking at the second game box score on Yahoo, the listed attendance was only 15,560. From a blog on the Dallas Morning News prior to Game 1: Ever stayed at the ballpark after a three-hour rain delay? Well that's what it's like here as we get ready to start Game 1. I could probably count the people here in the lower two levels, but I won't go to the trouble. Let's just say it looks like a Marlins crowd. I don't think it was what one would consider a day/night DH except for the 4 and 8 starting times. Don't true splits usually start at like 1 PM and 7 PM so they have time to clear out the stands? These games were played with about a 1/2 hour break between games 1 & 2.
  6. So, Carolina over Phoenix then? No love for Quebec?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. I used to be a Golden tee addict. I don't get out to the bars much anymore, but when I do, I look for Tee machines. I'd really like to own one someday along with one of those foosball-like hockey games.
  8. Don't really have a favorite team any more, just a fan of the sport and hope for exciting games. I'll be flipping during Brewers commercials tonight. I think one of the biggest components to success is veteran goaltending in the playoffs. That being said, it's hard to go against the likes of Brodeur and Hasek. We shall see.
  9. Hey brewcrewreview, when do they air? I checked ESPN for listings but didn't see anything. I know I could check from day-to-day, but I'm sure you may have the answer if you're DVR'ing them.
  10. I was just talking about the AWA on another board the other day. While I haven't followed wrestling for well over 15 years now, I was a huge fan of the AWA as a kid. We'd go to the Auditorium every Saturday night they had a card.
  11. I don't watch much of the local news, but I don't think they're over-doing it. On the local web outlets, they usually have the story at the top with any new developments. As far as residents go, I think the downtown area is much more concerned about this since it's been happening in their neighborhoods--that's not to say we're not all somewhat concerned. I think the biggest thing now is the homeless angle. They say a guy was panhandling just before Zimmerman was found and now the cops have taken in dozens of homeless for probation holds, warrants, etc. and I just hope this isn't giving people a false sense of security. They have been questioned, but no one is being held in connection to this.
  12. Crabbe just got his first major league hit, reaching first after hitting a liner off of the pitcher's backside.
  13. We had one of their marketing people posting back in January or so didn't we? I seem to remember he had the Bonecrusher avatar and he was promoting tickets and events. Maybe he will come around and shed some light on this. Edit-Just did a search, it was "Drick23".
  14. It's funny that this is a known gang of turkeys that have been doing this for years in different neighborhoods. Lobner said other residents should not be too worried about marauding bands of wild turkeys in the streets. He said this particular group of toms has a reputation and has actually been a problem in the past at John Muir Elementary School, chasing school children around the playground and even pecking at the doors after the students were rushed inside the school. http://www.madison.com/wsj/home/local/280517
  15. They could just disown the sister and get a new girlfriend, right? I know I would.
  16. there were 500 people in line for 5 Port O Potties but that's been the case for awhile now I think that's why we're seeing more "entrepreneurs" popping up in the lot with their facilities. Behind my tailgate was the guy with a camoflague deer blind (mini-tent) that had two buckets inside and in front of my tailgate were the girls who were utilizing a towel for modesty (ha!), doubledoors on a pickup truck and a large bottle of Tide. Also seen was the guy with a personal port-a-john on the back of his pickup. The 5 bucks I paid for using the tent sure beat waiting in line for over 30 minutes. Besides, I had to tend the grill.
  17. Thanks Newfield. I really like to hear the highlights and was disappointed when I saw they weren't being updated at the previous site.
  18. We were on Bluemound/Hawley at 9:20 AM and probably didn't get parked until almost 10 AM. So Robb Edwards is a big Kotter fan?
  19. There has been a no tobacco policy in the minor leagues for about 15 years now, but no such policy is in place in the bigs.
  20. As long as we're talking post-game, how come Brewers Radio Network (.com) isn't posting their daily pre-game interviews and post-game recaps (podcasts)? Has the website changed and I completely missed it?
  21. They were all tailgating by me until 2 PM.....
  22. I went on and actually had numerous tickets come up as available, but they were all field boxes and such with a total bill around $500. I was trying to get some cheapies for a few friends and that didn't work, and trying "best available" would bring up the high roller seats. At about 9:10 AM they reset the available ticket options and they were all $50-60 each, but I could never get through for those. Yet, trying best available, it would still offer those field boxes. Edit--I can't believe there were all sorts of invalid passwords. That really stinks.
  23. I don't really like Chill, but for 5 bucks a case I could deal with it!
