    It would be a fun story, but it sure looks as if Melvin is done with Sheets and Sheets is done with the Brewers. There seems to be some animosity that we're not entirely privy to. Unless Sheets needs us to help prove himself for the rest of the year I don't see it happening. To many other teams would be willing to give him a shot to pitch for half a year for a playoff push. After the final playoff loss, a bunch of people stood by the dugout. The only guy who ever came out was Sheets and he got a good ovation, as everyone there pretty much knew it was the last they'd see of him. He looked a bit emotional, but he didn't even really acknowledge the crowd that was essentially saying goodbye to him. I think that was the first time I knew Ben wanted out of Milwaukee.

    Not only that, but it was Soup who pitched a complete game shutout wasn't it?

    I don't think anyone on the team swings at as many outstandingly bad pitches as much as Corey does. He reminds me of playing video game baseball sometimes, where you largely just swing at everything because you can't really read it and you just hope you hit it. I really like Corey and I want him to do well, but I am losing faith in him. I was disappointed that he started this season swing at the first pitch again so often, and nobody seems to have gotten through to him that the whole league knows they can strike him out with a slider low and away on strike three. But he also seems to be swinging through so many pitches this year. The first half of last season he seemed very good about putting the bat on the ball at least. It's not the same level of frustration as Hall because at least most of Hall's problem stem from always trying to do to much, but that's not the issue with Corey.

    I'll believe that the players are smarter than this. Why in the world would we bring in our LOOGY, who has owned lefties this year, to plunk Mauer to load the bases, down one run late in the game? Because he had hit a homer earlier? Okay. This is a choice line; "You can make a good argument that he threw a pitch that got more up and more in that he intended, an argument I'll be willing to buy if Crede is 100 percent soon." So if Crede isn't 100% soon then it was intentional? That's just how effective our guys are, if they hit you intentionally, you're down for good! Our pitchers send love letters, straight from their heart!
