    I saw a commercial on for the MLB Network yesterday that featured Pujols staring down a home run and walking slowly out of the box. I'll have to assume it was computer generated.

    I know I've heard elsewhere that Uecker is a master of the cough button and I think it's fairly well documented that he's pretty rough off the air.

    Wow, the things you learn reading the MLB rules. First, it looks like TLR does indeed get the say so on if the game should start; Once the home manager hands his lineup card to the umps, its in the umps hands. I stand corrected there. Also, my take from the official rules is that game has to make it to the 5th inning to be considered a regulation game, and then multiple scenarios play out. But at this point, it is not a regulation game, so if they don't resume, it's deemed a "No Game" and replayed from scratch.

    Ya, I'm with TauPentaRei. It's fun to speculate conspiracy theories about it, but I don't think MLB is going to leave that decision up to Tony. I wish Macha would have looked forward and threw someone else out there.

    At this point, I think it could be called a No Game and be replayed entirely, though I could be wrong. The MLB Rules for this are pretty confusing.

    I'm sure it's morphed from it's original intention now, it's a bonding thing for the team, in my opinion. But it does seem to have started innocently enough. I just did a quick image search and found this picture of Cameron with his jersey untucked with the Mets, but the more interesting thing, is that Reyes and others are doing it with him. http://www.post-gazette.com/images3/20050801WP_bbncameron_450.jpg Edit: You know, I guess that's what surprises me the most about the whole thing. From all accounts, Cameron is one of the good guys in the game, a genuinely classy individual. And if he's the root, how do so many teams think it's meant to be a disrespectful action to them? Does that mesh with Cameron's character? Granted, it's questionable as to how well people know that story, but you'd have to think the story at least spreads through other players?

    As I see the AP article on espn.com now, I can't help but think that his story couldn't come at a much worse time for Milwaukee and the Brewers. The Crew has been playing great, but so much of our media attention lately has been about Braun supposedly hot dogging every home run, that we're whiners with Braun being thrown at by Karstens and Dempster, and that the team is disrespectful with the untucking. This story doesn't help our national image in the least.

    To clarify, I'm not a friend of Happy's, I've never even met him. I just don't think we need a thread full of people calling him a loser because he is fanatical about chasing baseballs. As has been pointed out in this thread, we have plenty of people who are fanatical about autographs on the forum, and nobody calls them losers for it, nor should they. I'm not sticking up for Happy in any way beyond that. From what I've read so far, ya, he's not coming off well in this situation at all, and the AP article makes him look worse, especially the quote about his salary and job. I don't agree with his methods either. I'm all for calling him out on these things, but I don't think we look any better for calling him names because he chases baseballs around. The guy is clearly a super fan if you look at some of the pictures on the blogs, he's got a memorabilia room that rivals many of the ones I've seen posted in the Trading Post here by other members. Stick to commenting about the incident, not about riding him down because you don't understand why he cares so much about what he does.
