  1. I'm going to assume you have it hooked up through component cables (three plugins for video). Most TVs can't do much but just display what signal they get through components. You can however allow your cable box to fill the screen.Hit the settings button on your remote and scroll over to display settings. You can choose a stretch setting and that will fill your screen no matter what channel you're on. Keep in mind all its doing is taking the 4:3 picture and stretching it out to 16:9. To get your wide zoom to work you could hookup the coaxial directly to your TV after splitting the incoming wire. This will give you all non digital channels and most likely the HD channels but not digital channels (100-500 wouldn't work). You can then change input type if you wish. Why do this? Time Warner's picture stretching isn't as good as most TV turner's. And yes when not broadcasting in HD 531 is just bars. EDIT:Also make sure you cable box is set for a 16:9 display.
  2. Their evil corporate structure and their poor store management speaks to me. They came up with Divx afterall. They aren't Compusa bad, but they're close. Blockbuster's bid for them is interesting. And for cables, Target can work just as well if I really can't wait for say Newegg
  3. Bush as the long man is such a waste it isn't funny
  4. There is no way that can avoid "The math is on our side!"
  5. Like I said, no outside corner to LH hitters
  6. Thing with this guy's zone, is that it appears to only apply to RH hitters.
  7. Can I say that the Hardy batting 2nd thing is fine for a gme or two but until Cameron comes back bugs me to no end? Send Yost the Hardball times article showing #8 hitters get better pitches to hit?
  8. And the Brewers couldn't get together enough for Haren and Bedard didn't make 200 innings and is now injured.
  9. Well Sheets is the only Brewer pitcher to ever get injured. Capuano, Gallardo, Parra, Villaneuva, they'd never miss a start.
  10. How are you getting your signal? Cable? Dish? and how is it connected to your TV (ie through what cables)?
  11. Not sure how young Livan actually is though, which makes it more difficult. But he doesn't really follow the rules that seem to affect other pitchers. EDIT: I wanted to mention if you check those 130 pitch games Prior had, its not like they were 2-1 games that the Cubs had to take to get in the playoffs. The first was an 8-0 Cubs blowout where the Cubs were up 6-0 after 6. The next an 8-4 win with the Cubs up 5-1 going into the 7th against the 2003 Brewers. The second to last was 4-0 games against the Pirates heading into the 7th.
  12. Did you miss the one out saves Yost gave to Cordero last year? Yost believes that any time it becomes a save situation the closer must pitch. Riske should have been fine
  13. Look at Prior's pitch counts that year. Its grotesque. The last 6 starts? 131,129,109, 124, 131. 133 Look at PAP from that year, save for the strange case of Livan, none of those pitchers who were far above everyone else (top 5 ) were ever the same though Vasquez may have turned it around after 3 poor seasons http://baseballprospectus.com/statistics/sortable/index.php?cid=100458
  14. For those not watching at home--Sheets was out for the high five live, high fiving with his right arm
  15. Am I the only one annoyed with how Gagne seems not to actually look at home before he throws with a man on 2B?
  16. Dunn has a strike zone the size of a grapefruit apparently
  17. Sheets must be in so much pain he's holding back the tears
  18. I thought only the Brewers never score with the bases loaded an no one out--at least Brewerfan.net tells me so
  19. Skaalen show Braun his OBP was lower than his BA before today's game? Braun's approach has looked much better today
  20. If it was something really serious I doubt Sheets would have reached for his helmet and bat as soon as he reached the dugout
  21. Yeah a real man would keep throwing in a game in April with a big lead!
  22. Now has Yost figured out that Weeks and Hart (and later Cameron) should only steal?
  23. Tired arm? He did throw three change ups in a row and then missed badly on his last pitch
