  1. LaRussa picks fights with teams who will respond when provoked
  2. He likely could. He's making so much that they won't pull him and that offense is terrible. The question is can he become a 30 game loser?
  3. It was cold to being with, but this past week during the homestand was in the high 60s and low 70s
  4. LaPorta is already 23. There is no reason for him to spend much time at Huntsville if he's hitting.
  5. It was a rather warm April. When the roof is closed that leads to a really muggy stadium.
  6. Truth is a lot of the great starts and the lack of offense could both be due to the same thing-the weather.
  7. The less hitting and running the Brewers do the better
  8. Career ERA of 4.57? Fan favorite that should retire! Career ERA of 6.16? Pitcher who gets bad treatment from the fans! This is bordering on trollish behavior
  9. The delusion that a 4.57 career ERA makes one a 6 or 7 starter is what we call... oh yes a low information Brewer fan
  10. This really does suck for Bush. If he spends any significant time in the minors, he'll lose out on a year of service time pushing his free agency date back a year. A free agent at 31 is much different than at 32 so this might kill his shot at that one big contract.
  11. They are revocable waivers, like those used after the trading deadline. If someone claimed Bush. the Brewers could have just pulled him back. My question, isn't there some sort of limit upon how many times you can put player on revocable waivers in a season?
  12. The Brewers would have just pulled him back
  13. If they say optioned, he's already cleared waivers. EDIT:The only reason I see to do this is to keep Bush stretched out and able to fill in immediately
  14. 1 4.64<4.88 4.64 is not exactly the same as 4.88. 2. Davis would look even better if I took away a bad month from him in 2007. 3. You aren't putting up HR/9 which shows how bad Vargas is. Davis is at less than one in Arizona, Vargas is over 1.5 4. You aren't even dealing with IP. Davis was at 203 and 192, Vargas at 167 and 134.
  15. If Vargas is a younger Davis he wouldn't have had to settle for a minor league job. You can keep pretending that they are similar pitchers but they aren't anywhere close.
  16. The problem isn't the bench so much as Yost. We finally have a righty starter which means we could have both a left and right handed option on the bench. What does Yost do? Starts Counsell so that there are only RH pinch hitters available.
  17. Ahh yes as soon as Hall starts to hit, Yost sits him
  18. Because its Seattle. They have Vidro as their DH.
  19. Well how about if the manager spent the entire spring talking about how that guy needs to steal more bases? That he's such a good basestealer he needs to take more chances? This happens every year. We hear how the Brewers are much faster than they were the previous year. How they are going to be more aggressive. They are going to steal more. And it takes Yost until May to figure out that he only has three decent basestealers, the same two he had from before and Cameron, and that other players should not be stealing in most cases. Braun is now 1 for 4 in SB attempts.
  20. Of course we could take that huge risk that Kendall might not get injured....
  21. Well he had too, he was up to bat the next inning!
  22. Nothing like seeing kids slide down the slide with the bases loaded....
  23. Remember when we said that the Hall move to 3B would be good if Hall could manage average defense? Yeah....
