  1. The NBA didn't punish them, they encouraged them. If the worst two teams got the picks, the Bucks wouldn't have tanked. Lots os teams tanked, all but the 76ers did. The lottery encourages it. If Mephis was gaurenteed the #1 pick, you would have senn much less tanking.
  2. The Bucks actually could eb teh one to trade up to get Atlanta's pick. If they want big, Charlie V is likely gone so Chalrie V + #6 for #3?
  3. DHonks-its why I never liked Vargas. He's throws a sinker but ends up with extreme flyball numbers. That said, he is more valuable than most relief pitchers that be available, especially since the Brewers still have a boatload of internal options. He is also the only real chip on the major league roster and will be needed to bring in corner outfielders. As for Mench, as this point he's a salary throw in, so you need to find a reliever getting way too much money.
  4. You lift Sheets. In most cases you wouldn't do it, but with Broxton and Saito you have to take the opportunity in the 7th. Just because the Brewers hit both on Monday does not mean they own them.
  5. Pierre outside the running lane, have no clue what Bill and BA were talking about
  6. The only way Mench gets moved is if the Brewers take on salary. Who really wants Mench at his price given what he's done recently?
  7. Seattle just happens to be fighting for a new arena.
  8. No reason to start Jenkins against a lefty, especially a good lefty.
  9. People are really overestimating the cost for rental players. Most inseason trades get very little. Gross and Gwynn could both start in CF for a number of teams right now. They would make the Pirates loads better. As for Nix, you can't rely on him to be healthy over a full season, so you can't have him on a contending team considering he still hasn't figured out how to hit major league pitching.
  10. Yes Estrada is a good hitting catcher. That doesn't mean he should hit 5th.
  11. Another myth that needs to die. Gross by month: April:.323/.417/.774 May:.100/.206/.100 June:.341/.413/.585 July:.273/.404.432 August:.310/.414/.500 Spetember: 4abs .000/.333/.000 He had one bad month. which consited of 30 ABs.
  12. You platoon Jenkins with Hart most likely. Biggest problem is getting Burell to give up his no trade without having to extend him and for Jenkins to deal with RF again (Burell in RF scary)
  13. I'm saying that Hart doesn't need to be traded. The Brewers don't need to give up that much.
  14. The difference being Branyan had some decent years previously in MLB. Nix, well not so much. Nix is a throw in to a trade for a team that needs healthy bodies to finish out the season.
  15. I'd actually put Gross 2nd and move everyone else down one, basically make the Dodgers waste as many lefties as possible in relief. But doubt thats going to happen.
  16. All it would take to upgrade is for Philly to hit a big losing streak and have them salary dump Burrell. Or for Hosuton to return to form and have them dump Ensberg. It doesn't take much to get most position players in season.
  17. So we trade our third best hitter for a 50 inning guy to a team that doesn't want a rent a player?
  18. Thats a terrible article. Cardinals trade Rolen? Thats not giving up this year but the next two as well.
  19. Mora is done. Only if the Orioles take Dessens and Graffy does it even make a little sense.
  20. It would take much more than that for Sheets.
  21. Just because the Dodgers handcuff themselves by playing Pierre the Brewers don't have to return the favor by playing Gwynn.
  22. Yeah you probably have Jenkins and Mench's walks switched.
  23. Another infield single for Morneau
  24. This is almost certainly a Miller start.
  25. I get the feeling we're going to see a Mench start today.
