    Russ- On Ohka his BABIP in 311 while otehr Brewer starters are in the 280s. The otehr thing is that unlike the whole "pitch to contact" which never makes any sense but seems to be the mantra to get soft throwing righties to do, Maddux seems to have all his pitchers to try for the K since all his pitcher K rates go up. EDIT:Ugh, Darren pimping Tavares for ROY.

    No, the reason Beltran gets $119 million contracts is because MLB makes billions of dollars and the players are the most important part of why. Just like in a law firm, the most important input is labor and the best lawyers will make huge money if they produce. If baseball didn't make huge amounts of money , players wouldn't get huge contracts.
