  1. Yes. If you are using stats to describe pst events, thats fine. But you can't use such stats to predict future occurances. Just like believing Lee will slug over 600 for the season because he currently is sluggin over 600 is foolish, so it pretending that because the Brewers are bad in 20 ABs means they are bad forever is foolish.
  2. Hall is arby eligible. He isn't going anywhere.
  3. Actually they are very easy to find. Ones that can hit passably are much harder. Hardy's problem isn't his power, its his OBP.
  4. Well the game looks like its will take about 5 hours, so they got their money's worth that way.
  5. Of course if Ned was thinking that the Brewers just played two games against two tough left handers, one was even a day game after a night game, so you'd see Hart in for Jenkins.
  6. Why was Moeller calling for fastballs? Still don't understand why Hendrickson wasn't moved to relief to use his curve like Wise uses his change up.
  7. It has nothing to do with position players, Ned just wants the option to have his relief pitchers pitch two innings even if it is the 8th inning. And so Davis gets screwed over for one run by bad defense and two runs by bad managing and bad defense.
  8. Its fairly simple, the pitchers spot is up next inning and Ned hates having to pull a relief pitcher for a pinch hitter. So a tired Davis goes back out.
  9. Why was Davis batting at 98 pitches?
  10. He saves the effort for his defense.
  11. Brady getting thrown out might mean some Liriano in the fifth instead of just 4 innings.
  12. So thats three errors called hits against Weeks in the past 3 days. New instructions sent down to the official scorer?
  13. Yeah if only Davis was able to make Lee actually run after a ball!
  14. Yes last thing that should happen is holding Yost responsible for his decisions.
  15. Hardball times had Jenkins as the best arm in baseball.
  16. All this talk about Bill Hall and not one mention of his illustrious acting career. http://www.gemstone.org/gem-features/oscars2005/DonCheadle_Mathe_45399.jpg
  17. Huh? That Hall got to the ball was amazing and that the throw was there was unbelievable. And going by the ump in the Dodger series where Nomar went flying off the bag, that should have been an out.
  18. Pace Bill, until those balls weren't anywhere close. The one they showed that was "close" was a good foot off the plate.
  19. This is why hitting home runs is a good thing pace Bill Schroeder. Putting together a string of hits agaisnt Pedor today is impossible, but because they have home run power they are leading. As to the Davis decision, thats Yost managing by what he hopes will happen versus what will likely happen.
  20. Lee did his best to turn an out into a double there.
  21. The third of three really bad pitchers in a week. Hopefully Lima doesn't perform like Sele and Park.
  22. Good thing San Diego decided to use AAA pitchers then.....
  23. Yes but he only does that over 70% of the time.
  24. At least the comedy of Moeller catching a knuckleballer will be there.
