  1. Give me a break scoop--Yost assumed Tomko would have been pulled for a pinch hitter with men on base and him not exactly carrying a no hitter.
  2. No scoop, if Cirillo is placed at 2nd, he won't get struck by lightening and turned into a pile of goo. But only you and possibly Clancy could possibly think its a good idea to play him there except when two middle infielders are injured..
  3. Yes back in 1995 Cirillo could play second. And JJ Hardy was was in grade school.
  4. Of course the Twins were considering moving to Doug M to 2nd.
  5. "It's called playing the percentages..."
  6. Yep Yost does manage like Montgomery Burns.
  7. Prove that Cirillo can play 2nd. He played a handfull of innings there the past decade.
  8. With Hall already in the game, if you don't trust Hardy to hit go with Cirillo or Magruder. Giving up the out when down three is a bad play. Of course Yost does leave Jenkins in to face a lefty specialist...
  9. Cirillo can't play 2nd. The play should have been to pull Capuano before Torrealba. And I must say the bunt is well...
  10. Would be nice if you had a bench so you could hit for Hardy here.
  11. If you were thinking about pulling Cap anyway, why let him face Torrealba who is killing him?
  12. It was worth it just to see Capuano mouth: "He caught that? Oh my God!"
  13. He pitched well, and given the wind also knocked down a bunch of Brewers balls he would have still won. It just that the wind woule keep the ball in the park which you need if you don't strike out a lot of hitters.
  14. If Santos could pitch every game in SF with the wind knocking down his hard hit flies, he'd have like a 1.8 ERA.
  15. Ahh the GIDP....I was really hoping not to see that after Miller walked.
  16. Pat Borders is hitting a robust .216 in AAA leadin to a 480 OPS in the PCL.
  17. Adam Mcalvy in this weeks Sportingnews mentions Hardy being upset Hall is getting to play day games after night games.
  18. Any word why Hall was playing tonight? Supposedly Hardy is already ticked off because he's getting pulled wily nily.
  19. The bunt was a bad idea. You need a hit. If Miller gets it, you then can have Cirllo bunt for the one run game. Or maybe Lee makes it to third. Even if Miller gets the bunt down, the play is to walk Cirillo and wait for a DP ground ball.
  20. Last guy left--Obermueller has to go tomorrow, Botallico pitched yesterday.
  21. Wow the Dodgers suck!!! Look at how many men they've left in scoring position!!! Obviously they have no chance!
  22. I feel like I constantly repeat myself, but one more time: Chris Magruder's splits: RHB .293 .319 .504 .823 LHB .196 .269 .313 .582 Now this over less than 400 ABs, but if Magruder has any value its against left handers. Which is nice because Jenkins has no value against left handers. What I want to know is why no one has ever stopped Magruder from switch hitting since there is no evidence he can do it. Right now I hope Magruder fills in until a time when Cruz shows he is hitting in Huntsville and is moved to platoon with Jenkins in Milwaukee causing Magruder to become the 5th OFer or released.
  23. Sanders, Luna, and Taguchi in the OF? Nice of LaRussa to give us a sporting chnace.
