  3. [faqborder][faqhead]BREWERFAN.NET Fan Sites List[/faqhead] I find myself searching the "Is Brewerfan the Best" thread all the time to find this list of fan sites, so I figured it would be easier to just make a separate thread for them. Also, for people who don't realize these links are there, this may be helpful. (I'm slowly but surely trying to update this list with better fan sites, as some of them are not the greatest. Also if any mods know of team sites that are better than the ones I have here, feel free to add them to the list.) 4. I believe that Braun said that the system was "fatally flawed" as it applied to his case rather than saying it was "fatally flawed" under all circumstances.
  5. Chris Narveson made a statement about the same time as Braun saying that there had been previous issues with samples collected in Milwaukee. I don't know if he was referring specifically to the Brewers or if he was referring to players from any team whose players were tested while in Milwaukee.
  6. Why wouldn't Braun want that public? It's probably premature or affects future litigation or whatever. Again, don't want to run afoul of copyright, but I think one quote isn't going to hurt. No problem with snippets. As for the refrigeration thing, I used to keep my dog's urine samples refrigerated because the vet told me to. The only time the samples weren't refrigerated was between the house and the vet's office.
  7. Well, it appears that the team will be known as the Milwaukee Beer Drinkers for a day.
  8. They could just make his option year official or whatever, but I wouldn't want to give him any years past that yet. What often happens is that the option is guaranteed and another year's option is added. I'd support that to avoid the lame duck thing.
  9. Check your user agent. Chromium likely reports itself as Chrome. Here's my Chromium: http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
  10. I have Google Analytics blocked in Firefox, which is my main browser. I don't think I have it blocked in Chromium, which I've been using here and there. It's probably good that "support" and I have it blocked. With the disproportionate amount of time we've been spending here, we'd stand a very good chance of skewing the stats. I should add that the numbers don't surprise me at all. Lots of non-IE browsers, a higher percentage of Macintosh than the web in general, and about 13.5% mobile.
  11. I suppose these networks figure that nobody wants to listen to a scientist. Or I suppose that it's possible that the thought never occurred to them.
  12. It seems kind of unusual that Roenicke hasn't already been extended. Most teams, the Brewers included, prefer not to have a lame duck manager.
  13. Here are Google Analytics stats since the day we opened the new board. This is for all of Brewerfan.net, but the board gets the majority of the traffic. [h1]Browsers[/h1] Firefox: 35.00% Internet Explorer: 22.92% Safari: 18.21% Chrome: 17.86% Android Browser: 3.93% Mozilla Compatible Agent: 1.43% Opera: 0.30% IE with Chrome Frame: 0.24% BlackBerry9630: 0.06% Opera Mini: 0.06% [h1]Operating Systems[/h1] Windows: 69.17% Macintosh: 16.19% iPad: 4.76% Android: 3.99% iPhone: 3.57% iPod: 0.65% Linux: 0.60% (not set): 0.54% BlackBerry: 0.42% Nintendo Wii: 0.06%
  14. I used different e-mail addresses each time. There's some kind of cookie control over there that keeps you from voting again immediately, but it seems that the cookies expire pretty quickly.
  15. I've voted 9 times so far.

  18. Now that I think of it, I don't recall seeing a single medical person during MLB Network's coverage.
  19. MLB's statement, the way I understood it, said that the collector didn't adhere to the policy set up by the MLB and the player's association, but he did adhere to the typical procedure set by most other organizations. Braun's statement said that FedEx is well equipped to handle medical samples and that it would have been very safe for his sample to stay there from Saturday until Monday.
  20. Another good/bad example involved this board and a moron on WSSP. Suddenly, the Brewers were about to acquire Adam Dunn, and Brewerfan was the source. The reality was that there was a lengthy topic in the Rumors forum discussing something written by an obscure blogger in Ohio. Doug Melvin actually felt the need to comment.
  21. Whether or not one thinks this topic is creepy, because the collector's name has been in the media, the question of whether his identity should be revealed is no longer relevant. Let me suggest [rurl=viewtopic.php?f=63&t=27550]Fixing MLB's Drug Policy[/rurl] for discussion of issues relevant to that matter.

  23. Calling IE "modern" is questionable.
  24. How often can we vote?
