1. I believe that when you buy MLB.TV, you can watch it on any device that's capable of receiving it. That should include your Apple TV, computers, tablets, smart phones, etc.
2. Are you having trouble with the file size or with the dimensions? The file size limit was awfully low, so I've upped it to 20K. I'm not sure if it's prudent to allow it to go higher or not, so let's see how this works. Dimensions need to be between 60x60 and 100x100. 100x100 is preferable. [EDIT: Dimensions need to be between 40x40 and 100x100. There's no need to try to make your avatar square. See [a=p766059]post #19[/a]] If anyone is having trouble creating avatar images themselves, feel free to attach or link to an image here. I'm sure someone will volunteer to help you out. 3. Also, with the new forum software, is there any way to re-pin this topic to the front page of the forum? Thanks. We don't have the easy "featured topic" toy that we had at the other place. One option would be to make this a "global announcement." That would put it at the top of every forum page, but not on the front page. I'll do that for now. I think the best option for this would be to put a link to this topic into the HTML. I'll look into that later.
4. From what I remember, Bob is given an active role in the hiring process. Of course, there's always the chance that Bob's initial impression could be wrong.
5. Good eye, Baldkin. It would have taken me a while to notice that detail. By the way, this particular poll allows you to change your vote. That's a poll-by-poll setup option.
6. We had requests for this poll on the old board. One nice feature here is that we can set up polls that allow people to vote for multiple options. Here's the previous discussion: Brewers/Braves Walk of Fame 2012 I'll get a poll going for the Brewers when I have a chance.
7. I looked in the [rurl=ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=view]obvious place[/rurl], but I don't see a way to do that. I'll keep an eye open, though.
8. Yes, use the temporary password. The boards have separate logins, so you'll have to change your password separately. However, the initial credentials we give you will be the same.
9. LambeauLeap is open for business. http://forum.lambeauleap.net/ If you already have a LambeauLeap account and you've already been issued a Brewerfan temporary password, you can use that information to log in over there.
10. Just to answer a couple of quick questions that are likely to come up… Yes, there will be chat once things have settled down. And yes, you will be able to post videos. The BBCodes to do it need a little bit more testing. We'll definitely be able to post video from YouTube, mlb.com, and The Onion. If there are any other services you'd like to suggest, I can play around and see how they work (when I have time ).
11. Hello, and welcome to the new Brewerfan.net Fan Forum. As you know, our time at Yuku was frustrating, to say the least. We hope that our new home will offer a better user experience.
Yuku Members
Your Yuku login credentials will not work here. Old Yuku forum members have accounts reserved. Please e-mail brewerfan@lambeauleap.net for login instructions and a temporary password. (Yes, it's a LambeauLeap.net address; Brewerfan.net e-mail is temporarily down.) If you previously had a Brewerfan account and you've already been issued a LambeauLeap temporary login, it should work over here. E-mail brewerfan@lambeauleap.net if it doesn't. We're going to try to be available to process requests as quickly as possible, especially over the first few days. If you haven't received a temporary password within 24 hours, please send another request. Before sending a second request, please check your spam folder; your login information may have landed in there. If you'd like to post under a different name, you can either: [list-sp] Ask for a name change when you request your password (post count will be retained). Register for a new account according to the "[a=newmembers]New Members[/a]" directions below (post count will not be retained).[/list-sp] After receiving a temporary password, we recommend that you create a permanent password. Details are provided in this topic: [rurl=viewtopic.php?f=73&t=27450]Changing your password[/rurl]. If you've received a password and are still unable to log in or post, please don't hesitate to send an e-mail to brewerfan@lambeauleap.net. If you're able to post and have an issue that may be of interest to others, please post to the Issues Forum. If the issue is of a private nature, please send an e-mail to brewerfan@lambeauleap.net. Please do not use the Yuku PM system to contact us.
[ap=newmembers]New Members[/ap]
If you've just found this forum and wish to join, please register for a new account. A registration link is available to logged out visitors in the top right hand corner of every page on the board. New members will need to be approved to post and agree to follow forum rules. Approval is a manual process. We'll try to make that happen as quickly as possible.
Update your Bookmarks
Please make sure that you update your bookmarks. [list-sp][list-nb] Brewerfan.net Fan Forum: http://forum.brewerfan.net/ LambeauLeap.net Fan Forum: http://forum.lambeauleap.net/[/list-nb][/list-sp]
Thanks!
Thanks in advance for your patience and cooperation. While there are bound to be a few glitches, we hope to make this move happen as smoothly as possible.
12. To change your password, [list-sp] Navigate to [rurl=ucp.php?i=profile&mode=reg_details]your account settings page[/rurl].1 If no e-mail address is displayed, you'll need to enter one into the "E-mail address" and "Confirm e-mail address" fields. Enter your new password into the "New Password" and "Confirm Password" fields. Enter your current password into the "Current Password" field. Your current password would not be the password from the old Yuku board. It would be the one that was mailed to you (or, if you've already changed your password, it'd be the one you set up). Hit the Submit button at the bottom of the page.[/list-sp] Any subsequent logins will use your new password. Screen capture of Account Settings Page 1. If you wish to navigate to your account settings page without having to come back to this topic, the "standard" way to get there is: Open the User Control Panel at the right hand side of the navigation bar. The navigation bar is located at the top of every forum page. Hit the Profile link in the sidebar on the left side of the page. A list of four links will open up. Hit the "Edit account settings" link that appears in the list.
13. Quick reply is here.
14. I see I need to enable quick reply boxes.
15. I've updated the topic title to make it so nobody needs to be scared to enter. http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif
16. I've heard that the ribbon interface in the newest versions of Word is pretty unpopular with a lot of users. Despite that, we're going to be seeing more ribbons in Windows 8. I'm trying to get by without Office entirely. On the Mac platform, it shoves folders in places that get in the way and violate Apple's guidelines, and it insists on installing a browser plugin that I don't want. The plugin can be removed easily enough, but it gets put back every time Office updates. There are rumors that Microsoft may put its Office apps into Apple's Mac App store. If that's the case, I may get interested. Anything in the App Store needs to follow Apple's rules (e.g. support folders would go where they belong and the installation of browser plugins wouldn't be allowed). I rarely need a full-fledged word processor. For the most part, I can get by with TextEdit (more or less the Mac equivalent of Windows' WordPad). When I need word processing functions, I think Apple's Pages program will likely do the trick. I also rarely need to deal with spreadsheets. The problem here is that Apple's Numbers application is definitely inferior to Excel. I read recently that Numbers sucks because Steve Jobs didn't do spreadsheets. On the other hand, Jobs did presentations, and Apple's Keynote presentation app is considered to be excellent. (Tim Cook's a spreadsheet guy; I bet he uses Excel. http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif)
17. Gmail is changing its web interface to use icons on its dropdowns. I'd rather see real words.
18. It appears that Gmail conversations arbitrarily end at 100 messages. At that point, e-mails are split into a new conversation.
19. Cecil: There's a lot of people that wish he would get over whatever he's got going on with his self. I think that the same could be said about Cecil and that it'd probably be more applicable to Cecil. Cecil: I know what I did for my son, and he knows what I did for him. Prince has given credit to Cecil when it's due, even in recent years. If he does something because he learned it from his dad, he'll say so.
20. If there isn't a semi-updated topic on team payroll, it'd make sense to have one. http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif
21. I had a sprained ankle that took about a decade to reach the point where I'd never notice it. During that time, it'd occasionally feel weak, but not painful. Rickie would have the benefit of trainers that I didn't have, and hopefully, that will help.
22. (Anyone have a copy of the unwritten rule book that I can read? I left my last copy in St. Louis). You could try contacting Mike Quade.
23. As a reminder, let's use the lineup thread for full lineup posts. Thanks! http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif
24. My understanding was that if this resulted in a suspension, then MLB would make that announcement (wouldn't they have to - just like when anyone gets suspended?) and if there is no suspension they just inform Braun (who would, in turn, likely make a statement) That's what I should have said. If there's a suspension, there'd definitely be an announcement.
