...to say that you do not have interest in seeing the WBC continue forward seems to at least imply more than your lack of personal interest in the games and a general interest in the WBC ceasing the exist due to the injury component. I didn't read the statement that way at all. I read it to mean, "No Braun, no fun."

The first thing you'll want to do is make sure you have tickets. The opening day ticket link offers information on season tickets and a link to StubHub. It seems that tickets are available via normal means for the other two games, though. (Giants ticket link.) I can't recommend hotels, but I can tell you that you can plan on them being expensive and having small rooms. Budget accordingly. You'll find that public transportation is readily available, and if you ask for recommendations, you should be able to find plenty of good, relatively inexpensive restaurants. And bring clothing that's warm enough. Short sleeves and a jacket won't cut it.

Don't want to start a big political debate... Is it because of the trade embargo we have on Cuba? Or is the Cuban government holding them there? Or both? I think we can nail down the answer to your question without debating politics. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm no expert, so I'm not going to get into guessing (and probably being wrong), but this article is interesting: Cuban Immigration to the United States. This topic sure seems to be worthy of being in a baseball forum, but I sure as heck don't know the best place for it. Mexico vs. Korea Gameday (also included in the lead). The link still isn't on the schedule page, but I figured out that you can construct the link if you know all the right "codes." I got them from previous games. gid=2009_03_15_mexint_korint_1&mode=gameday The date and teams can be inserted into any other game's link. I like "Brian and the Moderators" as a band name. I don't think you'd want to hear us, though. Maybe we can do something when the Brewers win the World Series. That's up to Brian. And as a result of not being totally awake when posting this thread, I totally forgot to mention Jamie in the lead. This wouldn't have happened without him. The omission in the thread title is now rectified. -
We're about 45 minutes into the game and there's no Gameday link for the Mexico-Korea game. If members want to do a little more than usual in the play by play department, that's fine. Right now, Mexico is up 2-1 in the bottom of the 2nd. We'll obviously want to keep track of the Braun injury. Well, as Randall Simon was batting for the Netherlands, the announcers saw fit to recount the Milwaukee "sausage" incident, complete with the amount of the fine and the name of the "victim." You can't accuse them of not doing their homework... I guess.

It always scares me when I see Tony Gwynn leading off. Then again, this is a "B" or "C" lineup with Counsell hitting third, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

If Rydogg66 has an HDMI or DVI port on his computer, so much the better. If the computer has DVI, that can be converted to HTMI with the proper cable or adapter.

We have control of Weeks until the end of the 2011 season at least. -------------------- OK, I thought I read differently on rotoworld, but I realize their info isn't always 100% accurate anyway. Tom Haudricourt reported Rickie's arby situation inaccurately a few weeks ago. Rotoworld probably picked that up.
