  1. It looks like they're going to reboot the game at about 7:50 PM CT. Ariel Peña is out in the bullpen and may take over for Peralta.
  2. After a bunch of diddling around trying to decide what to do about lightning, a huge blast of thunder caused everyone to run off the field. Now the groundskeepers are rushing to lay the tarp under potentially dangerous conditions.
  3. It was raining earlier, but not enough to delay the game. Now, there's no rain, but there's a warning on the scoreboard encouraging fans to go to the concourses due to storms in the area. Yet they're continuing to play. You're not going to get fans into the concourse if there's a game on the field.
  4. Per Craig Counsell in today's game 1 post-game interview. It was decided before today, and it's most likely a "full stop." The Brewers want to take the opportunity to look at others, and they want Matt to focus on getting ready for next season.
  5. I feel bad for Lamb. It wasn't like he melted down. Aside from Lind's double, the Brewers hits were soft liners or ground balls. And nobody walked.
  6. You can pin a lot of that on the Red's defense. The Brewer hitters did well, but the defense contributed to extra bases and extra runs.

  12. As a few others have pointed out in other threads, with a relatively low payroll, the possibility of taking on a bad contract or two in order to bring back value in trades becomes an option.

  14. This was done up until 1968; April rosters were set at 28. Going back to the 1950s and earlier, I believe April rosters were even larger.
  15. He has been total garbage outside of the start of 2013. MrTPlush, terminology like "garbage" to describe a player isn't necessary, and it's discouraged by Fan Forum Etiquette. The only thing that accomplishes is to make the board an unpleasant place to be rather than an interesting one. There are plenty of facts that you can use to support the idea that Jean's play isn't up to snuff without punctuating it by calling him "garbage."
  16. Jeremy's one of the funnier players on the between innings scoreboard stuff, especially when he sings. And speaking of funny, Maldy kissed Lucroy again during the post-game interview.
  17. It appears to be better. He hit 97 on one pitch.

  19. This is a long game… only the 5th inning. That's kind of intolerable when you're down 6-1, but it's OK when you take the lead at 9-8. Four more innings to go.
  20. WTMJ has the Packers game. The Brewers are on WKTI (94.5 FM). What might be happening around the state is anyone's guess.
