  1. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Time for the stupid question of the game...but did they answer it?
  2. good call http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  3. Counsell's hit looked like it should have been caught, who's playing right...Soriano?
  4. The laws of physics. Nigh energy electrical energy (lighting) always trumps microwave relay, There is no cure. Every other channel manages to stay on.
  5. Why can't FSW figure out how to keep their broadcast on when it rains?
  6. The times I've looked at stub hub it has always been high relative to what I see on craigslist. But maybe the prices drop as the game gets near. We always park for free, it is a 15 minute walk to our double secret parking area and it avoids the traffic jams that sometimes occur getting out of the lot. I also avoid taking the freeway. We are about 20 miles from the park and from the time I leave my seat to when I get home is usually an hour with this proceedure. Would not work for tail-gaters though. My brother-in-law once spent 45 minutes or an hour just getting out of the lot after a sold out game.
  7. Bill said he may be throwing too many strikes, I wonder if that's what Castro told him when he went to the mound? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  8. I'm not a season ticket holder, but began buying my tickets from those of you who are last season. Before that I always bought from the team. One difference between walk-up and season ticket holders is the seats you are likely to get in a given section. I've bought front row club level, front row field level down the RF line, field level 3rd row behind the plate, 7th row loge behind the plate from season ticket holders. If I had bought from the team I would not have gotten seats as good as these. Oh and I also bought club level playoff tickets from a season ticket holder. I am considering buying my own 9-pack next year, but I'd only do it if I could get good seats, like front row club level. Otherwise, I'll just keep buying off craigslist.
  9. I was there and did not see any altercations, but then I was watching the game not scaning the crowd to get a story. I did see at least three couples where one was a Brewer fan and the other was a Cub fan. So a story on inter-fanbase love could have been written, as well. The section I was in was about 75% Brewer fans which is good to see, I had not been to a brewer-cub game for a few years and the ratio at that time was the reverse. While I am glad Brewer fans are the majority, I actually enjoy having a significant number of the opponents fans at the game. It just seems to make it a more intense play-off like atmosphere. But then I've never seen any problems between the fans. I've been to 3-4 Brewer-Cub games here, a couple at Wrigley, and a couple games with the Sox at Comisky.
  10. Gallardo http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. Maybe it was going to be McClung to pitch to just one batter, since the pitcher's spot may come up.
  12. Yeah, because there are no Cubs that ever engage in any "antics" in any situation.
  13. Isn't Brenly the only guy who interviewed for the manager job and did not get hire in some capacity by the team?
  14. Bill should quit picking on Soriano, he was just unhappy cuz he did not get to do his little skip on either of those plays.
  15. Ah, that is probably the idea, rather than give him and Cam the day game after the night game off, Macha is reversing it so that the left handers are in against the right hander tonight.
  16. Was anyone offering him more at the time? What were his other options for locking in a lifetime of financial security?
  17. I always wonder what exactly are the things that one can "do" in Chicago (and other big cities), that one can not "do" here. What...there are more bars to go to? Even more place to shop? More Restaurants? More movie theaters? Reality seems to be that those are the thngs most people are actually "doing" in any city...so big deal. Yes, there may be a couple extra museums and other "cultural" destinations, but really how often is the average person actually going to such places.
  18. One more spin for Halion please (okay, I'll take a ground out)
  19. I was too. When BA said something about it being his last inning, I looked at his pitch total and thought he would leave him in, even though he was due to bat.
  20. That's what I call manufacturing a run in one simple step!
  21. That play by Ramirez sure did not seem like something that would dislocate a shoulder.
  22. I thought they wore "throwback" uniforms on Fridays? ...or did they just change to wearing the 2008 playoff team uniforms instead of 1982 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. I think all they had left was McGehee and Corporan, so I don't see a problem with Kendall batting.
  24. So Bill says "that's why you don't run 3-1"....is that because Rickie Weeks might swing at a wild pitch on 3-2 and then...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  25. Right, but I've seen times where an umpire will do something like that and it is just that they changed their mind about the call at the last second. I couldn't tell from the lousy replay they gave us on the other call.
