  1. But, too bad he forgot that there is a shortstop.
  2. Everyone seemed to think so, Hall watched it for a second and the camera shot was giving that impression too, along with the TV announcers. Nice to see a big inning for the offense.
  3. Nice to see a pitcher throwing strikes...Looper: 93 pitches, 63 strikes and only 1 walk
  4. For those not watching, on TV they just said the Brewers are leading the league in walks...shocking information.
  5. I don't remember seeing Rickie Weeks make a single bad defensive play in these first few games. This has to be one of the biggest positives so far.
  6. Definitely not a scheduled day off for Hardy, he was a late "scratch" from the line up. With Hardy out, Macha juggled the line up as he did not want counsell batting 5th.
  7. In case you are not watching on TV, I beleive they just said "sore back"
  8. Okay everyone is wearing 42, fine...but seems silly to do this with no names on the uniforms
  9. Is it just me or do the 1s on the FSN between inning scoreboard look like 7s tonight. I do wish it was 7-3, though.
  10. Not that it's good, but the home runs are less frustrating than seeing 3 runs get walked in.
  11. The fans in the park are (understandably) pretty impatient with with walks or even too many balls being thrown tonight.
  12. I believe the policy is even worse than you imagine, I think that even if WMLW had not been broadcasting the game, it would be blacked out from being shown by anyone else in the Brewer's territory. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2870960 http://www.bizofbaseball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3120:2009-season-begins-with-mlb-blackout-policy-still-a-bone-of-contention&catid=48:ei-mlb-network&Itemid=82
  13. Wow! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  14. 10 hits and 7 walks plus a HBP and only 6 runs to show for it.
  15. The thing with Matheny though is he didn't even flinch. That's true, he just stood there spitting blood and teeth, he did leave the game, IIRC (though it was probably not his choice).
  16. Fastball in the jaw, but he seems fine...somehow.
  17. He is up there with Mike Matheny in my book, now.
  18. Yeah it was funny and it was distracting me from how badly this inning was going...
  19. They are not really focusing on much of anything...a painfully long inning with them not knowing what to talk about. "How 'bout that Pabst theater, eh?"
  20. Yeah, gotta let our power hitters swing the bat! Ah well, Hart took care of getting those runners in.
  21. With a couple days off coming up, any chance Soupon gets skipped and goes to the bullpen for a bit? I think the way it works out they could go until the 25th, without a need for him to make a start.
  22. Okay, but he needs to at least eat a full meal of 6-7 innings every 5 days...the 4-5 inning snacks have got to end.
  23. You had a few extra words in there for some reason, fixed it for ya http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif It doesn't really matter to me, since I get both stations, but can not see why they don't shove the Bucks over to WMLW instead of the Brewers...I suppose it is a contract thing.
  24. IIRC, according to an article in Sunday Journal-Sentinel Macha indicated that he may have Rivera catch for Parra as well as Bush at some point. I think that point should be tomorrow. Also agree with implementing a more liberal pinch hitting poilicy when Kendall is catching. They have a 3rd, at least somewhat experienced, catcher on the roster http://media.scout.com/Media/Minor_League_Baseball/798727_McGehee062804.JPG Casey McGehee so I really can not understand the irrational fear of pinch hitting for Kendall.
  25. holding Hart when he would have scored easily on Fielders double. Looks like Cubs have a new closer...
