  1. 38. Dan Larrea--director of team travel according to McCalvy's twitter Missing--Logan Schafer, YuniB, Maldonado off of the roster.
  2. This is actually the 3rd night in a row for the pinstripes. Yo wanted to put them on to stop the streak on Wednesday and they've won two in a row with them on.
  3. Buying a house has really bugged me today. We were scheduled to close today, but turns out the mortgage company who holds the deed never actually sent it to the tittle office so we could close. They have been asked several times in the past couple of weeks to send it and sent over an overnight FedEx tracking number yesterday so we thought we were all set this afternoon. Turns out they never actually gave the package to FedEx yesterday so the tracking number did us no good. The worst part is since it's the seller's issue we have absolutely no recourse as a buyer. They just extended the closing date until next Friday. If we were unable to close for any reason on our part, we would have had an extra $150 per day fee. They however have nothing to worry about since they are in total control so in theory they can just hold onto the deed for as long as they want to and we can't do anything about it.
  4. We'll have to wait and see if it comes into play at all in the series, but Papelbon is out for the first two games.
  5. last adapter cord I found was a replacement on ebay for less than $10 shipped. Worked like a charm, just make sure you get the compatible model of replacement. Certainly worth the chance that it would solve your irritation
  6. I'm actually looking for 2 of the Greinke bobble's if anyone is looking to unload a pair. I'd be willing to pay a total of $40 to get them shipped to Stevens Point, or I have extras of most of the past few years bobbles if anyone is interested in trading for some. Thanks
  7. They were talking about this on MLB radio on the way home from work today. Turns out the actual story is that the opposing pitcher turns out to be the bigger tool in this scenario. After every strikeout he threw in the game he would stare at the batter all the way back to the dugout until he sat down. The "blowing a kiss" was such a small thing that 95% of the people in the stands would never have even seen it happen. If it wasn't Harper, it wouldn't ever be a big deal. Granted I agree that Harper is a first class tool with everything he has shown so far, but at least in this case the other guy was being an even bigger tool.
  8. Wasn't calling you out on that, I legitimately didn't know where it was coming from. FSN actually showed Braddock warming up before Hawkins gave up his last baserunner.
  9. Where is the idea that Braddock didn't have time to warm up coming from? RRR brought him in for a lefty vs. lefty matchup that he had plenty of time to warm up for. Zach throws one pitch, albeit a very poor pitch that hit the batter, and some how Roenicke is to blame? Step off of the ledge, it's a long season.
  10. 1-0 @ Reds2-2 @ Marlins2-1 v Mets1-2 v Cardinals3-1 @ Cubs1-2 @ Red Sox2-1 v Twins2-1 v Rays1-2 @ Yankees 15-12 overall8-7 road7-5 home Looking at the Cards schedule for the month though, I'm afraid a 15-11 June record would leave the Brewers about 4 games behind St. Louis going into July. Hopefully Lohse and McClellan are going to come back to Earth and we don't lose that ground though.
  11. "Hopefully at some point DPR will figure things out and the string of excuses will stop." If only we could go on a tear, like winning 8 of 9 home games or 13 of 15 games overall--then maybe we could give Roenicke some credit. Oh wait, it's all his fault when we lose, but if we win it's because our players overcome all of the poor decision making and managing. Hopefully at some point we, as a fanbase, will figure out that every manager will make decisions that fans don't agree with. Then again he is the manager of an MLB team and we aren't so maybe there is something that he knows that we don't. Questioning moves and decisions is one thing, but the overall DPR thing is taking things way off the deep end. The team is 5 games over .500 and it's Memorial Day. We haven't been eliminated from the Playoffs, none of the players seem to have quit on Roenicke and we are finishing off a strong three weeks of games. The sky isn't falling and Roenicke is trying to pull it down on our heads.
  12. You are thinking fan advantage correct? I would say that have the last at bats of the game is a huge advantage. Three games that come into mind where home field advantage was important may be opening day--Reds beat us on a walk off homer14 inning win vs. Rockies last week--walk off homer from PrinceFriday night vs. the Giants--walk off suicide squeeze Back to the topic at hand, I think a 5-2 road trip is certainly possible and would be given a boost if Josh Johnson makes a couple of minor league starts and misses that series. The Reds look beatable right now, which the Brewers really need to take advantage of given the past few year's results. The Marlins are a very solid team, but with the Brewer starters pitching as well as they have the past three weeks or so, I think winning 3 of 4 in Florida is certainly achievable.
  13. Can't we be over the Wolf/Lucroy discussion by now. Just because Kendall caught upwards of 150 games a year doesn't mean that's the way it's suppose to go. Most catchers in MLB get at least one day a week off from catching duties. Isn't it enough that we sit Wolf 4 out of every 5 days, just so Lucroy can play?
  14. Having to listen to Craig Coshoun this often this year makes me very happy that Brian Anderson in our play by play guy. Anderson has his faults, but he is much better than a lot of other options out there.
  15. Sedar with a good decision to send Lucroy there. The only reason it sounded crazy was the Cardinals choice to throw home instead of just tagging out Gomez or turning the double play the conventional way by going to second base first. If somehow Gomez was able to avoid the tag and get into second, we could have stolen a run there. That's the type of aggressive base running that we should be seeing.
  16. Can we just score 6 to tie it and go into extra innings just to see how many in a row McClendon can get through tonight? He certainly has to be the bright spot tonight. Hopefully this solidifies his spot in the pen for the remainder of the year.
  17. Oh how I'd love to see either Hart or Lucroy in the 2 spot tomorrow. I understand Gomez probably needs to be playing right now since Morgan is out, but he has to be yanked from the top of the order. I'd rather see him hit 9th and just slide everyone else up a spot.
  18. [quote author=bucksman4 wrote: [/b]Amen. Certain people here will make excuses or brush it off as "he needs to rest once every 5 days anyways" but nobody is getting fooled that it's continually on Wolf's day to pitch. First class douche and prima donna. OK, so you don't like Randy Wolf, message received. Would it be a correct assumption that "to teach Wolf a lesson" RRR should make him pitch to Lucroy instead of Nieves? Nevermind the comfort level of Wolf, or of the rest of the pitching staff. It's better to teach Wolf who's the boss!! Thankfully RRR doesn't have the same alpha male attitude and is actually thinking in terms of what makes the team better, even if that means Wolf gets what he wants and pitches to Nieves.
  19. 1-0 @ Hou 2-2 @ Atl 2-1 @ Stl 1-2 vs Sd 2-1 vs Pit 0-2 @ Lad 1-1 @ Sd 1-2 vs Col 2-1 vs Wsh 2-1 vs Sf 2-0 @ Cin 16-13, finally get a bit of revenge on Cinci at the end of the months and go into June with a one game lead in the division.
  20. I'd love to see them get Zobrist as well. I think it would be a considerable upgrade to the team overall. Don't know how much it would take to get him, but I'd be on board.
  21. The White Sox should be looking for some late inning relievers with their current woes, and they are pretty well shored up at SS and 2B so what would it take to get Vizquel? Split the starts between him and Counsell and see what we can make work. Obviously Vizquel isn't anything near what he used to be, but he is still an excellent defender and could teach some basic fundamentals to both Rickie and Casey that should help us in the long run. 2010 Line for Vizquel108 games---only 9 games at SS.276 Avg.341 OBP.673 OPS edit-added 2010 stats
  22. With the Nick Adenhart tragedy last year in Anahiem, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the dry clubhouse is a Roenicke decision.
  23. For those of us in central WI with Charter cable, the game is currently listed in SD on channel 87 EXTRA. Not sure if it is actually going to be on or not, but it's listed. Note--this is not an actual MLB Extra Innings channel since that is not available in this area.
  24. I'll put this in the in-game thread as well but for anyone who has Charter in the central WI area the game is being listed in the guide as being on channel 87 EXTRA. It's the first WMLW game since I've moved up here, so I am not positive it will be on but at least there is a listing for it.
  25. 2 @ Cin 1-14 vs. Atl 2-23 vs. ChC 2-13 @ Pit 3-03 @ Was 2-13 @ Phi 1-23 vs. Hou 2-13 vs. Cin 1-22 @ Hou 2-0 16-10. Weeks and Braun have outstanding months, and Marcum finishes the month 4-0. Axford blows one more save late in vs. Cinci, but we come back to win in the ninth and he doesn't blow another one until after the all-star break.
