So my wife gets home from work tonight and I notice that she has her high beams on as she pulls into the driveway. Curious, I ask her about it when she gets in the house and both of her headlights burned out in the past couple of days. She had let me know on Saturday that one had burned out so I planned to stop and pick up a replacement today, but I forgot on my way home and didn't want to run back to FleetFarm to get it. Now that both lights won't work unless on bright, I had to run in an pick up replacements and as I go to install them I actually found the receipt in my toolbox from the last time I replaced her lights. It was on Aug. 15th of last year!! I knew that I changed them fairly recently, but realizing that it had barely been 6 months did not make me very happy. She drives some backroads between Stevens Point and Wausau everyday, so I had bought the extra bright halogen lights last time and bought the same ones again tonight. Needless to say, these will be returned and she will get the basic standard bulbs as I refuse to spend $30 on headlights every 6-7 months. I understand the brighter halogens have a shorter lifetime than standard bulbs, but 6 months is ridiculous.
