Crazy list of Brewers to hit for the cycle. 2 HOFs - Yount and Molitor 2 average guys - Charlie Moore and Mike Hegan 2 train wrecks - Jody Gerut and Chad Moeller And, now Kottaras
I will never understand the mindset to have your best relievers in the pen vs the opponent's best hitters simply because you want to manage to a stat. Glad we got out of it tied, but K-Rod or Ax should have been facing the heart of that order...
Wouldn't you really want to go K-Rod, Ax, Saito here? I know it will never happen, as getting a save for certain pitchers is more important, but, if you want your best pitchers in highest leverage, wouldn't you do that?
Except that's not how it works here as the worst SS in all of baseball continues to be the regular SS on this team, with no platoon. Earlier you stated "Keep hating on him. It's heating him up. Much better than watching Wilson and Counsell play." So, you're even arguing against a platoon, as you advocate continuing to play Betancourt. But yeah, we're fine at SS
Betancourt is the bottom or 2nd worst in literally almost every category offensively and defensively at SS, and you're trying to argue that SS isn't a problem? Yeah, 3B is a problem, but to act like SS isn't is odd. Where does that 9th place OPS for the Brewers SS fall to if you take out Josh Wilson's 14 AB? Any guess? http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/157/image1vlg.jpg
OK, now I'm intrigued...what are your incredibly expensive hobbies/interests?Wine collecting. One of my first bosses introduced me to it, and he started me off with some really nice stuff. I'm up to ~1100 bottles.Watches. I'm a complete sucker for Panerai and Omega Watches. I have a small stock account that I day trade (not really but I trade often) that exists solely to support my watch and wine habits. I started off well shorting Rambus at 400 a few years back, so I had a good start on it.
I think it's silly to think a players tossing you a ball in batting practice is "special", I think being a fan means never putting on the enemies jersey to get said ball, I hate the fact that seat hopping is ignored like this, I think the holding the balls hostage part is absolutely horrible boorish behavior, and frankly every word I've heard/read out of these "ballhawks" mouths supports every stereotype I would have placed upon them. That being said, I have 2 incredibly expensive hobbies/interests where it would be quite easy for most people to consider me insane for doing what I do to acquire these items or for paying as much as I do for these things... So to each his own I suppose as long as you don't hurt others in the process.
