  1. This sums it all up for me. Well, other than the swearing, the throwing of items, and the lighting myself on fire part.
  2. Honest to god, what is it about Counsell or Kendall such that they CANNOT be pinch hit for? What has to happen. I'm dead serious - Bill Hall would have been a better option there. Pardon me while go gargle boiling oil.
  3. Milwaukee 2nd and 3rd no out = no run Chicago 1st no out = run
  4. This team was sent to Earth to torment me endlessly for something I did in a previous life. I'm sure of it. Why in the name of all that is holy, do we NEVER EVER EVER pinch hit for Counsell or Kendall? Is there a federal law? 2nd and 3rd no outs, and we can't score a bleepin run. Why do I do this to myself. This team doesn't deserve to make the playoffs.
  5. Odds of Jim Edmunds making me jump from a tall building? 1:2? 1:3?
  6. Seriously, I took a phone call for maybe 5 minutes and it turned from a 6-2 win to this. I feel like someone punched me in the gut. Can't wait to hear about the Reed Johnson walkoff.
  7. Do you dare try and get another inning out of Gagne?
  8. You really don't need any further explanation after your first sentence.
  9. 4 runs in an inning? Do I need to start stocking up on canned goods, water, and ammo?
  10. It's almost comical that Sveum walked right into this in his first game. Unreal.
  11. Remember when the Brewers weren't a train wreck?
  12. If he's healthy enough to come back and pitch, why not start him and avoid another start from Suppan or Parra? If you are that concerned about him throwing too many innings, why not just shut him down completely and avoid risking him at all? I'm not arguing against using him in the pen per se, as it has been mentioned he immediately becomes the best option out of the pen. I guess I'm more in the space of if you are confident he's ready to go such that you want to bring him back this year, I'd rather take my chances with him over Suppan or Parra right now.
  13. I must admit I don't get it. Several posts complaining about the "California" banker. Huh? You mean the California banker that bought this club from Wendy Selig? You mean the California banker that has doled out almost 90M for salaries this year? The California banker that went out and paid for Sabathia? The California banker that has been owner during the only >.500 record in 16 years? That "California" banker? Why "california" enters into the discussion, I don't know, I guess I should be glad there wasn't some reference to wine drinking. I hardly think firing the dolt that has led the team to 2 straight collapses equates to Steinbrenner level meddling. Frankly, Melvin not have the brass to do this after last year's collapse if the biggest issue in my mind, and it the owner has to nudge Melvin here, so be it.
  14. I'd love to see them make a hard run at Davey Johnson. I think he'd be perfect for this team.
  15. After having the biggest [you fill in the blank] throw a no hitter tonight at Miller, I now feel like this... http://content.ytmnd.com/content/8/c/f/8cf81e65f53fb533eb3ea078f22d5d8c.gif
  16. Can we have an announcement that Yost signed a 3 year extension and end the night in style?
  17. Seeing Zambrano throw a no hitter at Miller tonight makes me want to punch babies.
  18. http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/631/jump1xh4.gif http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/1706/careygagar9.gif
  19. We're cursed because we're the Milwaukee Brewers. I swear to god, the next time I have to hear about a tortured fanbase and it's not the Milwaukee Brewers I will eat an uzi. 26 years of horrible teams featuring 2 straight years of epic absolutely gut wrenching collapses. The window is shut, and we wasted the last 2 years with a mental midget managing this team.
  20. When I need a big hit late in the ballgame, I always turn to Craig Counsell.
  21. 5 more of those and we can win this thing!
  22. From 94% odds to make the playoffs with 23 games remaining, to finishing the season potentially in 4th in the WC standings. This franchise is a train wreck.
