  1. I disagree. What harm would have come if Rollins slid in the ring and stole a victory over Brock following Undertaker's interference?
  2. Wily looked really good tonight. He looked comfortable on the mound and was outclassing most of the Lookouts he faced. There wasn't a radar gun at MGM Park but he was definitely bringing the heat.
  3. I'm on a family vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama so I am making the short drive over to Biloxi to check out our new AA affiliate and to catch Wily's rehab start. Should be fun.
  4. The hottest team in baseball? Your Milwaukee Brewers. 8-2 in their last 10. Still have the 2nd worst record in baseball but we have the Rockies in our sights. If not for anything, the team has been a lot of fun to watch the past couple of weeks.
  5. I know she is hurt, but please don't give Bayley a gimmick change when she finally gets the call. She could be a hero to thousands of young female WWE fans because of her personality. She is one of my favorites. As far as the live show from Japan goes, I'm really intrigued by the Brock vs Kofi match. Sorry Kofi, it was nice knowing you.
  6. RIP to the American Dream. To see one of the most passionate wrestling promos in history, go to YouTube and search for "Dusty Rhodes hard times."
  7. I thought Lou Palsmo would be our catcher of the future. I too thought all of our catching woahs were solvdd with Palsmo.
  8. I'm enjoying wrestling now more than I have in the past 10 years. Not to sound like a hipster, but I don't even regularly watch Raw, Smackdown, or TNA Impact. My wrestling viewing consists of Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXSTV, and NXT. I pretty much only watch WWE PPVs on the Network. If you aren't watching Lucha Underground, you should be. It is by far the best wrestling program on TV.
  9. Joe Block just gave an interesting stat on the radio broadcast. During his career, Matt Garza is 74-26 in games in which he receives run support of 3 or more. I did not know that.
  10. I don't think Lesnar will no-show Wrestlemania. Doing so would open himself up to a breach of contract lawsuit. I have a feeling the Wrestlemania main event will be a train wreck. With Brock heading out the door and the negative opinion towards Reigns, the crowd is going to crap all over the match. In other news, Ring of Honor is returning to Turner Hall in Milwaukee on Friday the 13th. In addition to all of the ROH regulars, Samoa Joe and Trent Baretta will also be there. I have to work so I will be missing this one. I attended the last two ROH Milwaukee shows and I had a great time at both.
  11. I voted, but Kemp is way behind at this point. The thread title confused me a little bit. I thought this thread was about Sailor Art Thomas or Da Crusher.
  12. The real Royal Rumble winner should be Curtis Axel. He was never eliminated. It's not like that throw into the barricade was all that terrible. The WWE's lack of foresight is amazing. I can't believe they didn't predict the reaction from the crowd when Daniel Bryan got eliminated. The air was taken completely out of the crowd, and then they crapped on everything else that wasn't Ambrose, Ziggler, and The Rock. Poor Roman Reigns. I actually feel bad for him. It isn't his fault that the WWE has crowned him as the next chosen one.
  13. There were a lot more, but I didn't think it was necessary to post the 80-1 guys like Fernando, R-Truth, and The Bunny. Hornswoggle and El Torito are at 100-1.
  14. Gotta love Vegas. Here are the odds for potential Royal Rumble winners. Bray Wyatt and Sting would be worth a $10 or $20 wager. Roman Reigns — 1/3 [Favorite] Daniel Bryan — 3/1 Randy Orton — 6/1 Dolph Ziggler — 14/1 Dean Ambrose — 16/1 Triple H — 20/1 Rusev — 22/1 Big Show — 22/1 Ryback — 25/1 Bray Wyatt — 33/1 Bad News Barrett — 33/1 Cesaro — 33/1 The Miz — 33/1 Sheamus — 33/1 Kane — 33/1 Adam Rose — 35/1 Damien Mizdow — 35/1 Erick Rowan — 40/1 Luke Harper — 40/1 Mark Henry — 40/1 Big E — 40/1 Jack Swagger — 50/1 Bo Dallas — 50/1 Chris Jericho — 50/1 Sting — 50/1
  15. I agree with Patrick. The Royal Rumble is my second favorite PPV of the year. I'm a big fan of nostalgia. The Rumble is usually pretty good for a couple of surprises. Since the event is in Philly this year, I think it might be possible for an ECW alum to make a cameo. Bubba Ray and Devon Dudley are currently free agents. I think Raven has also made peace with the WWE as well. SPOILER ALERT: A former WWE superstar and one of the biggest names in wrestling Tweeted he was in Philly this weekend. It could just be a red herring, but I think he will show up tonight.
  16. Daniel Bryan has to be the odds on favorite to win the Royal Rumble, correct? I would like to see a Bryan/Lesnar Wrestlemania main event, but I would be legitimately scared for DB's health and well-being.
  17. The Ascension debut was very flat. If they are going to be LOD 2015, they need better theme music, better face paint, and some pyro during their entrance. The Authority is back after a whole two month absence. Yippee.
  18. If you have the WWE Network, make sure you watch NXT Takeover: R Evolution. The main event was tremendous. Sometimes the NXT crowd bothers me because I think they are too focused on getting themselves over. However, you saw how invested they are in Sami Zayn. They wanted him to win the championship, but the crowd wanted him to do it cleanly. There were loud "no, no, no" chants when Sami picked up the steel chair and contemplated using it against Neville. The place came unglued when Sami finally won the title. I was fooled during the celebration. Since Kevin Owens didn't attack Sami immediately, I figured that we were going to get a feel-good ending ala WrestleMania XX. They waited until the very last moment, even after the trademark screen appeared, for Owens to make his attack. The attack was believable and the ring apron powerbomb made Owens look like a beast.
  19. NXT is so much better than Raw and Smackdown. I have loved the build for the Sami Zayn/Adrian Neville. It is nice going into a live special without any idea how it is going to play out. Is Neville going to turn fully heel? Will Sami turn heel? What happens if Sami loses? Will Kevin (Steen) Owens interfere in the match? I like the Balor/Itami team, but I feel that Itami is being overshadowed. I'm not sure his Japanese strong style is translating well to NXT. Plus, Balor has the "it" factor for sure.
  20. Absolutely great hour of wrestling. The only negative was Alex Riley on commentary. Finn Balor just exudes charisma. I think putting both he and Hideo in a tag team together was a smart move and a good way to introduce them to the WWE audience. It's funny how much better the tag division is in NXT compared to the WWE. Then we had the main event. I love the slow and subtle heel turn that Neville is doing. Sami's stunned reaction after the match. Wow. I can't wait to see what happens at the next Takeover event. If Sami loses, he must leave NXT. Does that mean a main roster callup? I know it is wishful thinking, but it would be great if Sami returned as El Generico if he loses the title match.
  21. Team Cena: Cena, Ryback, Sheamus, Big Show, and Ziggler Team Authority: Rollins, Kane, Rusev, Mark Henry, and Cesaro. Underwhelming.
  22. 1) wwe championship ladder match - There has been a lot of talk about the leaked Summerslam poster featuring Cena and Lesnar facing off. There are rumors that the finish has been changed and Cena will not be winning. I think they want the title on Cena going into Summerslam so Orton and Wyatt would make sense. Cesaro still isn't there. After all that, I still think that Cena wins. 2) briefcase winner - Ambrose and Rollins are the only two who make sense. Im also going with Rollins. He needs the rub. I expect his feud with Ambrose will take another step forward during the match. 3) Tag Team title match - Usos retain. 4) Paige vs Naomi - Paige wins.
  23. I pretty much agree with everything you said although I enjoyed the opening segment with Hogan, Rock, and Austin. I thought the PPV was just ok. Until Brock won, the Taker match was terrible. Taker really looked his age. I guess my biggest problem was with the Cena/Wyatt match. What did Cena gain by going over? He pinned Wyatt cleanly and Wyatt did not get a chance to get his heat back.
