  1. It was questionable that he would hit for power not that he wouldn't hit at all.
  2. I didn't want to muddy the UW Football thread with this:
  3. I was more referring to his "bottom of the order" comment. Turang has 12 steals which isn't all that bad.
  4. Remains to be seen. I would have liked that trade for the Brewers depending on what they gave up. I actually suggested it in the trade/rumors threads. But he was only the best position player traded because it was a weak trade market for hitters. He had an 823 OPS - nice player, would have improved the Brewers lineup but let's not make him out to be something more than he is. And had the Brewers traded for him, I guarantee people would have wanted additional moves. He wasn't the missing piece.
  5. If Candelaria averages 4 hits a game the rest of the year I will regret not trading for him.
  6. Kind of hard to steal when you are barely getting on base to begin with.
  7. Welcome to the board!
  8. Blalock having a pretty nice year after missing 2022 due to TJ surgery.
  9. So Quero and Black to AAA?
  10. Pretty much, Hiura from 2019:
  11. On the occasions that he makes contact, he hits it hard:
  12. If they retooled for 2024 you'd probably complain too....like you did last year when they traded Hader.
  13. Welcome back, man.
  14. Looks like a team that shouldn't be making a big move.
  15. And Contreras is back over 800 OPS
  16. I think we've beaten this to death. Start posting about Canha or take it somewhere else. Thanks.
  17. Things could change obviously but if Jeimer Candelario is the best position player traded this week then I am not sure what the Brewers could have done to fill all the holes they have in their lineup even if they wanted to trade off a bunch of prospects. Everybody seems to be making moves at the margins.
  18. you can dislike a move or an opinion but you have to engage with posters respectfully or you won't be posting
  19. I agree. I am not sure what move they could make that would put them on equal footing with the Braves and not kill their chances at competing for the next five years.
  20. This is a crazy throw:
  21. I guess I'd like to know what "be somebody" means. HOF numbers? Hardly any do that. Make it to the bigs? Have a multi-year career? Above replacement level? And I don't think the draft picks of Doug Melvin should have any bearing on how we judge the current state of the farm system or the Brewers ability to judge hitters.
  22. I'm curious how Chourio's July compares to the best months that Braun or Fielder ever had. I remember some heaters but nothing like this
  23. If you're willing to park by Allen Bradley and walk you should have no trouble finding free street parking somewhere. It's a Monday night and that is the only thing happening on the Summerfest grounds so I think you could park anywhere in the Third Ward and be fine.
