  1. Ah, I only have one TV. Didn't even think about that
  2. Would be kind of annoying. I bought one of those cheaper TCLs for this reason because I wouldn't need to waste money on an Apple TV or similar. I think I would just buy a cheap Apple TV to bridge to gap at that point I suppose. Don't think I feel like switching to Hulu as YTTV has a better line up for my tastes. Have you checked out Sling?
  3. Not everyone here lives in Wisconsin.
  4. Still going, they're going to do at least one more season but who knows the timeframe now of when they can film. They've started filming last November. It's gonna be split into two mini seasons of 7 episodes each. From what I've read best guess is the first mini season will come out at the end of this year.
  5. I really liked Succession on HBO.
  6. I don't see the value in any of the coins themselves except Bitcoin It can be used as a store of value similar to gold since there a limited number they can create. Blockchain on the other hand has real world utility. Smart contracts are game changers.
  7. FWIW, Ethereum 2.0 is supposed to cut energy consumption of its Blockchain by 99%
  8. Yeah I took a look this morning and they were talking $250 open. I passed.
  9. if this is NOT bugging you, I would hate to see what is
  10. A few quirky comedies from the UK: Derry Girls on Netflix - set in the early 90's in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. Really funny once you pick up on the accent. Great soundtrack. Stath Lets Flats on HBO - good one if you are a fan of the Ricky Gervais version of The Office

    Pizza

Anybody that grew up in the Milwaukee area remember Organ Piper Pizza out on Hwy 100? When I was a kid I thought they had the best pizza...of course, the arcade next to the restaurant probably influenced me. I see that it's still around. Is it any good?
  12. I think you get what you pay for with steaks. I love the ambience of a classic steakhouse. Also I love steakhouse sides.
  13. RIP Jessica Walter - matriarch of the Bluth family on Arrested Development

Does anybody make their own crust from scratch? I would like to try to make my own thin crust.
  15. Make sure the modem is compatible with your internet provider. Xfinity (Comcast) has a list of the approved ones on their website. Check your provider's site to see if they have something similar. Speaking of the internet, it's always a good idea to periodically change your plan or at least see the price difference if you want to change plans. I went in the other day and got 2x the speed of what we had for $16 less per month for the first year. Then it goes back up to where it is now.
  16. I'm glad people are starting to see all the cool stuff other countries are producing. The Fall is really good - first season anyway. I stopped after that. Gomorrah is great (on HBO Max) - Italian crime drama. Top of the Lake from New Zealand was really good. Babylon Berlin is a german series that's excellent.
  17. I'm amazed at shows that can last more than four seasons. Ricky Gervais really knows how to go out on top.

    Pizza

Art of Pizza is very good deep dish. Lou Malnati's is known for their Chicago style but I really like their thin crust. I think one just opened in Brookfield, WI. Some other Chicago places we like are Coal Fire (not as good delivered) and Craft Pizza. Another thin crust that's pretty decent is Bartoli's.
  19. If you didn't ditch your GME, you made some money back today.
  20. I feel like maybe the golden age of TV ended with GoT. Maybe it's just TV burnout from too much time at home during Covid but I struggle to find any shows worthy of binge watching anymore. I probably have about 6 shows I am in the middle of but I still turn on the TV and can't find anything I want to watch. Was just looking at the Emmy's from last year and maybe Succession is something I should pick up again but like so many other shows I just sort of burned out on it after a season or 2, they just don't suck you in like Breaking Bad or the Sopranos did. I did recently watch The Newsroom for the first time and got through that pretty quick, only 25 episodes or so not sure why it was so short lived. Maybe it's time for a swing back to movies being the big thing again but yeah have to get out of this comic book stuff. You may be right. The last year hasn't been that great but I'll throw Better Call Saul against any show out there right now. If anyone is into mafia crime dramas (and doesn't mind subtitles) there's a good one on HBO Max called Gomorrah.
  21. If Netflix would stop releasing full seasons of shows all at once I think there'd be a better chance for that to happen again.
  22. Rents are actually going down in a lot of places (presumably the people buying houses are the ones that were renting in the cities). https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/05/rents-are-falling-due-to-covid-heres-how-to-negotiate-a-lower-rate.html https://www.zumper.com/blog/rental-price-data/ So for Wallus, you might want to check out the rental rates over time in the area you interested in. Might be getting in on the floor of rents and the ceiling of price.
  23. Hollywood comes out with a lot of good stuff. It could be argued we are (or just were) in a golden age of TV. It's just the big blockbusters that are all the same thing.
  24. Based on these numbers, they will make as many comic book and animated movies as they possibly can:
  25. I am very interested in blockchain as it apparently has commercial use even if digital currencies don't catch on as actual currencies. I just can't wrap my head around how to explain what it is or does or how it might be useful just yet. Check these two links out this should explain blockchain about as simply as you can. https://www2.deloitte.com/ch/en/pages/strategy-operations/articles/blockchain-explained.html These were great. So in the case of Ethereum.... Ethereum is the blockchain and the people along the chain that validate the smart contracts are rewarded in Ether coins. Is that sort of the gist of it? The smart contracts seem to be the commercial part that could really improve efficiency across a multitude of industries.
