  1. Now the smoke is all about a trade w the Broncos
  2. If the Packers were to trade Aaron Rodgers before June 1 it would actually cost the team MORE in cap space than if he remained on the team. $37,202,000 to play in Green Bay $38,356,000 to be traded away
  3. It's also kind of funny how all these guys have "sources" confirming this that or the other thing on the same day as Schefter comes out with his news. Why the hell didn't they report that when they originally heard it?
  4. I would be pissed if they traded him to San Francisco. if they trade him, i don't care where he would go as long as the packers got a haul back. Part of what was rough about the Favre situation is that they only got a 3rd for him. I understand its a different situation though. I honestly don't know how they can trade him and make the financials work.
  5. I would be pissed if they traded him to San Francisco.
  6. Packers don't have to do anything. Rodgers can either play for GB or retire. I guess he could "play" and just tank or fake an injury.
  7. So given today's news.....would GB trade Rodgers to get a #1 from Denver or the Raiders? Obviously there'd be more than just a player for pick swap. Denver picks #9, Raiders pick #17.
  8. This is exceptionally hard to believe. They know what the cap hit is. They spent all off season bringing back all of their team from last year to make another run at it - I don't think they did this thinking they'll have Love starting at QB. I’m with you there. Money was pushed out to extend this team’s window. Plus, Aaron Jones received a second contract that defied conventional wisdom and cost them a future comp pick. It could be that they never talked to Aaron until they made all those moves.
  9. Sources everywhere! Now there's a rumor Rodgers said Broncos, Niners, or Raiders
  10. Huge, if true. That’s...hard to believe, though. Yeah that seems really far fetched
  11. Trey Wingo is saying the Packers told Rodgers they were going to trade him this offseason and then backed off. If that's true, then the front office has really screwed this up royally.
  12. That would REALLY be a kick in the pants if they traded him to Oakland since they don't even have a team anymore
  13. Man, and I was so looking forward to the draft tonight. This really makes me not even want to watch.
  14. Honestly, he could just sit out come training camp and get fined. If he thinks Love sucks he knows the Packers won't wait too long to do something.
  15. Yeah, it's kind of an odd off season for him to grumble like this. Last year? Sure. But, the Packers are strapped for cash and were never going to sign big WRs to massive deals. Yet, they still found a way to retain two of their key offensive weapons. I'm sure he wants to win another SB, and so does everyone else. I just don't think that he's going to find a better situation/chance to do so elsewhere in the 2021 season. Maybe Jacksonville will trade the #1 pick for Rodgers
  16. This makes it seem more like a negotiating thing: Rodgers is smart and understands leverage. Leaking this on draft day is about the only leverage the player has in this kind of situation.
  17. I don't know what all has gone on behind the scenes but if this is still all about last year's draft he needs to get over it. They had the #1 offense and he won the damn MVP. Not to mention they re-signed his #1 OT, #1 WR, and #1 RB - they lost Linsley that's it. Now if he complained about not drafting anyone on defense then that's another matter but I haven't heard that come up.
  18. Could be a negotiating thing. Who knows.
  19. I think people get into the MLB draft now. It's a bigger thing than say 10 years ago. But to your point, not nearly the hype of the NFL draft. There are just so many casual fans that think they can evaluate talent. Heck, there are analysts that get paid to be on TV/radio that think they can evaluate talent and really don't have a clue. Most headlines leading up to the draft and after the draft are ones to get clicks. It's become rather annoying to me. I actually avoid much of it now and I used to love to tune into the draft. I love the draft grades. Does anyone go back after 5 years and evaluate how bad the draft grades are?
  20. Does anybody think the Packers take a punter at some point?
  21. Ah, I only have one TV. Didn't even think about that
  22. Would be kind of annoying. I bought one of those cheaper TCLs for this reason because I wouldn't need to waste money on an Apple TV or similar. I think I would just buy a cheap Apple TV to bridge to gap at that point I suppose. Don't think I feel like switching to Hulu as YTTV has a better line up for my tastes. Have you checked out Sling?
