  1. Bucks have the best Net Rtg in the East. 3rd in the NBA behind Utah and the Clippers
  2. I wish he had K'd but it was still neat that Cubs fans probably thought that was a home run.
  3. Cubs are gonna send Chafin back to the California Penal League pretty soon
  4. I wonder what that's like, having an aggressive GM that will help out his stud quarterback. Yeah he would have won the MVP with more help. Wait...
  5. I'm probably gonna come off like a curmudgeon here but to me, organized sports for any kid younger than 8 or 9 is kind of weird.
  6. Is it weird that the barrel % is bad but the hard hit % is not?
  7. Damn...you read those comments? Some pretty hateful stuff in there. People seem to be assuming he was SO drunk he couldn't even recognize his vehicle and blaming him for being in now TWO parking lot incidents. Well, he did nothing wrong in the first and I don't know what happened here other than he seemed to violate Covid protocol and got beat up. But pretty easy to see how someone could make the mistake of getting into the wrong van if it's a party van or just not your vehicle. Most people could diffuse that situation by apologizing profusely and moving on, but I’m guessing the strip club after midnight crowd is a little different than say Costco on a Saturday. midnight? I thought I read it was like 645am.
  8. Probably should not refer to them that way. CDC calls them B.1.1.7, B.1.351 etc. and so do the epidemiologists I work with.
  9. He's been flat-out awesome. I loved the transaction and thought he would do just fine for us. Well, he has been way more than fine. We have the best catching duo in the league. When Pina is rested, he is pretty darn good as well. His swing looks so good it's hard to imagine him being as bad as he was last year.
  10. For the record, I am supremely confident that a vaccinated person does not spread and I look forward to my 2nd shot on Friday.
  11. I am simply going off the latest from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html Background Rationale (from April 2): https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/science-briefs/fully-vaccinated-people.html
  12. One of the main reasons they aren't saying "If you're vaccinated, you can do whatever" is because they aren't 100% that you can't transmit the virus after vaccination. They're pretty sure you can't but not 100% sure. I don't know what peer review or additional research needs to happen for them to be 100% - or if not 100% at least confident enough to let people do their thing.
  13. I'd be surprised if they let Lamet go more than 4 innings. Be nice to make him throw a bunch of pitches in the 1st inning
  14. Which tells you all those stats are still subjective, and often wrong. Defensive metrics another good example. It looks so scientific, it's not. All they are saying is that a balls that have had that launch angle and that exit velocity were a hit 1 time out of 10 (roughly). It doesn't take into account where in the field the ball goes.
  15. Was looking at statcast stuff today and you could make the strong argument that he's been the worst hitter in the league.
