It probably is a revenue sport for a few schools in the south or California (maybe ASU too). I think your hockey comparison is a good one.

The timing coming off of Covid could not be worse for adding a sport. Many schools are dropping non revenue sports altogether.

Agreed. Nwora seems like he could be a solid bench guy. I have a feeling he's a sieve on defense so he probably shouldn't be getting too many minutes but dude can score. Diakite is way better looking offensively than what I saw of him in college. If he keeps up that progression and puts on a few lbs he could get some serious burn. He's already 24 though so his ceiling might not be that high but that's ok.

This. Also, back issues don't get better with age. Such is the cursed organization that is the Milwaukee Brewers... Let's make sure I'm getting this right, Tiger Woods has had 5 back surgeries and Christian Yelich has had zero surgeries and a very current MRI showing no structural damage. Why are we talking about Tiger Woods again? Doesn't seem relevant. And it's his first trip to the disabled list for this particular injury. Let's not jump the gun on this thing.

Not I. As a glasses wearer, they would constantly fog up if the mask wasn't set "just right" up against my glasses. Annoying as hell. I have never worn contacts more in my life than I have the past year+, specifically for this reason. You guys gotta get the masks that pinch up at the bridge of your nose. Well, maybe not anymore thankfully, but that worked like a charm for me.

JP is the 7th inning guy. Counsell is nothing if not consistent, for better or worse. Having a reliever pigeonholed to an inning with the possible exception of the 9th is just so dumb. That's not directed at you, and I still like and appreciate Counsell, and I'm not saying Rasmussen was a bad move here. But I've been so disappointed with CCs evolution as a bullpen manager. Not sure I agree. I feel like he's done a great job over the years with the pen.

Yeah, he's dealt with it since the minor leagues. This spring he said it 'pops up once or twice a year'. That's literally the definition of chronic. So are you saying they should not have signed him to an extension because of a "chronic" issue that until this year never landed him on the disabled list?
