  1. Their defense is so much more physical than ours.
  2. It seems like NW always beats the Badgers if they are good and they have wrecked at least a couple of fine seasons. Yes, I was at two of those games. The John Clay fumble still haunts me.
  3. Be weird to hire someone in that role because of their gender. What would be the point of doing that? PR? I doubt you make a GM hire for a PR stunt.
  4. I have no idea how good Northwestern really is but Evanston has been a house of horrors for UW. Gonna be a tough one.
  5. Punting from the opponents 38 on 4th and 3. Sigh
  6. LOL. I could have tried harder but the Alex Green photo made me laugh.
  7. Berger and Dike might be the missing links for this offense. I am excite ( even though this is the worst Michigan team I've ever seen)
  8. Looks like Mertz is going to play
  9. I said at the time that building a program up is one thing, maintaining it at that level is another. You can't use the "us against the world" line every day and get the same effect.
  10. He has a really, really good defense. He's ok but certainly for his career has been a tier below the elite guys. He's a game manager which might be all you need when you have the defense they do. I wouldn't rely on him in a shoot out though.
  11. Indy's offense is horrible. They'll need some turnovers or special teams help to score points.
  12. I don't think anyone disagrees with you but I don't think this would be feasible without the rapid PCR testing that they are proposing and which, until recently, wasn't ready for mass production (and still isn't for the most part). After reading the article, I am optimistic that short of a vaccine this is the route we will go to get things moving again. I'd like to know more about their filtration system. That sounded cool. I don't know if it's a panacea for every industry but certainly for sports and large scale entertainment. Other obvious applications would be for travel, schools, etc.
  13. If anyone is a sucker for those Dodo animal videos that you find on social media, there's a British show on Prime called The Dog Rescuers that's basically the same thing. I guess there's like 7 seasons but they only have season 5 available.
  14. Mattered a lot to this guy a few weeks ago: https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/30208828/negated-chicago-bears-sack-leads-daily-fantasy-player-losing-1-million-prize
  15. Some quotes from Gard: https://247sports.com/college/wisconsin/Article/Lorne-Bowman-Wisconsin-Badgers-Basketball-Withdraws-From-School-Remains-With-Team-Greg-Gard-154615951/
  16. Potrykus tweeted today that he's no longer in the student directory. That's all he has. Respecting his privacy.
  17. At the end of the day it's still a 60 game sample. So yeah, they were fleeced for 60 games I guess.
  18. We have the Hulu version with the ads. The only downside to me is that it seems like they only have three commercials so you see the same thing every break. One cool thing is that they have a timer so you know how long the break will be.
  19. Nothing is 100% effective - unless of course, you stay inside your house 24 hours a day and never contact another human. A Mask cannot stop 100% of droplets or aerosols but reducing viral load is important even if you're only reducing it by 20% (I made up that number). Masks reduce risk. It is as simple as that. To Machu's point about focus on masks, I agree with the RRR comparison. I think masks have just become a flashpoint for most people because it's so personal. No one is gonna know if I wash my hands or not and social distancing from strangers isn't a huge ask. Telling someone to wear a mask crosses a line for a lot of folks because you can't really hide it if you don't want to do it.
  20. Not exactly.what you want but the CDC just came out with a study yesterday that says masks also protect the wearer: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/masking-science-sars-cov2.html
  21. Didn't he try to big-league the cops to get out of the first one too?
  22. They only lost one guy and have a really nice group of freshmen coming in.
