  1. You could also just link to the tweet.
  2. They are not. He's 100% serious.
  3. Ian Happ's batting average when I got to work on Monday was .176. He's had four good games since then.
  4. Add Kingsley Keke to the list of guys getting some pub. Maybe take J'Mon Moore off that list.
  5. Any time a player gets a weird injury like that my BS detector goes off. A lot of times they do it because it violates a clause in their contract (e.g. Jeff Kent claiming he broke a bone while washing his truck. He was actually popping wheelies on a motorcycle)
  6. Sorry for giving my opinion on a message board. Thanks for your input, very valuable to the discussion. Can’t have it both ways guy. Telling someone their overreacting is not a great way to respond. Having a differing opinion is one thing. But I’m pretty sure you know this and will play the victim here. You’re good at it. If you don't like the manner in which someone posts, please report it. If you don't like the content of a post, ignore it. Responding the way you did, and often do to posts in which you don't like the tone, doesn't help.
  7. Erceg seems to have figured something out the last week or so.
  8. Just a reminder... 1) From Fan Forum Etiquette: What kind of discussion is not allowed? Please keep politics, religion, and sex out of the forum. Fairly or not, these topics have regularly resulted in threads going out of control. Also, please avoid contentious topics such as racial and ethnic issues. If you're into discussing these topics, we recommend the separate forum Brewerfan Political Scene (not affiliated with Brewer Fanatic). Other notes: 2) Just mentioning a politician doesn't make a post political. I could say "The Brewers haven't been in a World Series since the Reagan era." That is not political. If someone responded, "Man, the Reagan era sucked because...Reagan." That would be political. 3) Politics aren't the only topics to avoid. See #1. 4) Just because people are discussing a contentious topic civilly does not mean the thread will stay open. 5) No one is allowed to talk about Fight Club.

  12. Did he have much fanfare coming into the year? I know the Pirates don't get much pub, but he seemingly came out of nowhere to be a complete slugger. He has always hit really well in the minors but I don't know if he's every been on any top prospect lists or anything. 2nd round pick of the Giants - traded as part of the McCutcheon deal. Probably wish they'd have traded Duggar instead.
  13. I don't know if this gives any more info on that or not https://wkow.com/news/wisconsin-news-from-the-associated-press/2019/08/06/cephus-says-returning-to-school-top-priority-following-trial/: MADISON — Former Wisconsin Badgers football player Quintez Cephus today applied for readmission to the University of Wisconsin, according to his lawyers. The move is the next step in clearing his record after being expelled from UW last semester when he was accused of sexually assaulting two women. Cephus was acquitted of the charges following a week-long trial in Dane County Circuit Court. The wide receiver tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in a story published Tuesday that going back to school is a top priority, but that he doesn’t know if he will return to the University of Wisconsin. The 21-year-old from Macon, Georgia, was suspended from the football team last summer before being expelled from UW last semester. Cephus says his lawyers will work with UW officials to “to clean up my record” so he can return to school. Cephus also says he plans on playing football again and he is in “the best shape of my life.”
  14. We have the best one, and he should be starting. Another mistake DS made is giving ten times Pina's contract to Grandal for far worse defense and only and slightly better offense. wut
  15. I think this is procedural only in that it allows him to get the expulsion removed from his record or something to that effect. Not 100% on that. He could still go back to UW but I don't think this is necessarily evidence of what he wants to do.
  16. Spriggs waived.
  17. Amy Gill @amygillsports 2h The lawyers for former Badger WR Quintez Cephus announce they are petitioning UW-Madison for his readmission. They have asked for a response by Thursday. This follows last week’s not guilty verdict in his sexual assault case. ------ Sounds like this is in order to clean up his academic record.
  18. For MVP, team wins matter. Bellinger will likely lead a 1st place team and best team in the NL, and that tips the scales for close calls on MVP. Which is also dumb.
  19. If Yelich goes 50/30 and doesn' twin the MVP it will only be because voters just don't want the same guy to win it two years in a row. I doubt most of them look at defensive win shares or anything like that. If Bellinger was like Lo Cain out there then maybe but it's close enough between the two where I doubt it comes into play.
